toilet etiquette

Post by angus young »

I was spending a penny at a public toilet in the centre of Aberdeen this morning when a middle aged woman emerged from a cubicle directly behind me with a very young lad - presumably her grandson.
An awkward moment especially as I was in mid flow.
Shouldn't she have taken him to the ladies instead?

I don't have kids myself but surely in this situation you ought to choose the facilities you use based on the sex of the adult in charge and not the kid.

Must be a nightmare for dads out on their own with young daughters.

yes, it can be, but only till the child is about 5 yrs, then as long as you stand outside the toilet facilities, waiting for the child, normally there is no problems, & yes, i am a single parent :D

They should just do what I do....use the disabled toilets. They are more spacious, much cleaner (less used) and no one walks in on you to steal your wallet

I know what you mean magoo, but i only do it in certain public toilets around my local areas. Ones in which i can guarantee no ones gonna need to use them in the 2 mins it takes me to piss....+ seems a shame for them to be so rarely used. I wouldnt do that in a shop tho...but then I wouldnt go in mcdonalds in a hurry anyway, nor take a shit whilst out in public with someone
