No idea what sort of money girls would have made, but pretty sure it would not have been anywhere near enough to retire on, so guess they have to get proper jobs afterwards?

It is quite a curious thought... I mean like everyone else these girls have to make a living and surely they must be recognised...I'd love to turn up to work one day and find out the new office girl was so and so...! Also when they enter 'mainstream' work how do they explain their 'previous job' or 'experience' at an interview? "So Miss Harrington what did your last role entail?" "Well being DP'ed and being gangbanged on film"!
It wouldn't bother me because I'm very open minded but I wonder if it is a barrier...?
I also wonder just how well known some porn stars are, I mean in terms of being recognised in the streets and the like...I bet it's more than most people think..I guarantee that Stella Cox (just a random example) is as well known to the average uk male as any pop star or tv presenter....I mean nearly every bloke watches porn! Probably more guys could recognise a picture of a well known porn performer than say the prime minister!

one quite well known ex porn star ( female ) from the 90s , done some quite heavy stuff, seems to be doing ok now, doing a degree and working in a fairly decent job. She went by the name of Amy.

There are very few girls who made and retained serious money from porn. Most come and go in to short a time to make money.

Katie K did ok though, she was pretty sensible and my guess is she is getting along just fine. Some of the girls who have made a proper career out of it, particularly the ones who have been on the channels long term, do pretty well and enjoy good incomes. Most have good business heads, pay their VAT and taxes and have pension plans.

Porn girls are a lot less famous and recognisable than you think, most could walk around and barely be recognised and can often leave the business and go into mainstream employment seamlessly. A lot of the girls leave their porn persona at work and are quite different off duty so are probably difficult to spot

Most people who watch porn are just surfers and don't take any real notice of the performers. There are not that many serious and dedicated fans in my experience.

I would imaging that with the large number of niche websites there is plenty of work for models to continue working after they pass thirty. If that's what they want of course.
