Bye bye Cate Harrington

Sad to see that Cate announced today on her twitter account that she has made a full retirement from the industry and has now closed the account and her Adultwork profile.

Big loss to see Cate go she was always one of my favourite performers and as sexy as hell! A real enthusiasm for her scenes added to her persona and for me kind of the end of the era.

I think most guys when they are first introduced to porn grow up on certain performers and they are the girls they associate with most. I loved the mid 2000's with girls such as Cate, Suzie Best, Beatrix Bliss etc...now they are being replaced with webcam girls and although just as gorgeous I just dont associate with them. Actually makes me feel old!

Of course Cate has every right to lead the life she wants, and if she has felt that the time has come to move on then I wish her all the very best, but although there are more important things in the world than porn, non the less, its a sad day for this particular porn fan.

It was hard enough to take when she quit porn and now she's gone completely.Will always be one of my favourites for as long as I live. Do we perhaps get too "attached" to some performers?
any farewell messages/comments from her on AW/twiiter before she went or did they just close suddenly?
when she was still doing her site wasn't one of the attractions the fact that she'd consider shooting with amateurs? needless to say just as she got going and no doubt dozens of blokes thought of applying she quit.
