Just thought you might like to know about a new UK Producer (he's a very good friend of mine) who will shortly be submitting a load of films to the BBFC for R18 certification. The videos should be available in the Spring and will be going out under the UK4Play Productions banner. Titles include Limo Lust 1, Limo Lust 2, Office Hours, Muffins in Algarve, Open All Hours, Car Wash, Back Door Slammers, Carpet Capers, Smile Please and Hungry for Cock. R18 have been hardcore for a while now. See for more info.
Given that if you look at the new R18 releases (via the site) the majority seem to be foreign imports, it's nice to see more native producers addressing the market.
I wonder if the new legal situation will help uk producers get further in the various foreign markets?

In most instances, R18 still isn't a fully uncut version .
If it was the UK market would not be as furtive as it still is.
As long as this persists, there'll still be a 2 tier market.

R18 videos which have been cut have been cut because of the inclusion of violence, e.g. some of rocco's stuff, pissing, fisting etc. Otehrwise the R18s released in the last several months are fully hard core. It should not be assumed that all hard core videos inlcuded the above acts in the first place.

If you check the BBFC website, you can see whether R18 videos are being cut or not. In many, many instances these videos appear to be identical in running time to the foreign editions.
It should be stressed that fully hardcore videos, including releases from Evil Angel for example, are being passed uncut. Plus I have heard that the version of Dirty Anal Kelly in Rome 2, while cut, still contains some very, very strong action. So while the continued cuts are still regrettable, to all intents and purposes R18 is a hardcore category and certainly most mainstream videos (ie those without the acts detailed above by Alec) such as the likes of Private will be passed uncut.
