Vidshop not delivering

Post by Andrew »

Has anyone ordered from Vidshop and actually received their order? If so, how long did it take to arrive. Ordered a DVD just over 3 weeks ago, and it has not arrived.

Emails requesting status of order have been ignored - have I been ripped off?

Have a search through the forum - there are quite a few posts from people who have had problems with Vidshop.

If you are concerned, it is possibly worth a little embarrassment to phone your credit card company and see if they can help. Has your account been charged for the DVD? Or cheque cashed if you paid this way?

It does seem common that people have had problems. However, everything I ordered arrived eventually. There were other difficulties, but I did get an email answered once (cheers) but all subsequent emails have been ignored.

It is odd that they keep adding stuff to their site, they must surely be selling something to someone, right? Right?

Has anyone out there had a recent successufl order from them?

Not sure if this counts as ?success??
In October I ordered two DVDs. The first turned up within the two weeks promised. Then nothing for three months and no answers to my e-mails.
Then a second copy of the first DVD arrived (I?ve mentioned this in previous posts, but here is the end of the story ? I think!). Last week another package arrived. A different DVD. Not the one I ordered or one I particularly wanted, but at least it wasn?t the same one again.
And as far as I can tell (I?ve mislaid a credit card statement) I have been billed for all three.
Basically I think we?re dealing with a shambles rather than a company actually trying to rip us off. But I?ve given up on them. Your Choice don?t have a vast number of DVDs on offer, but they do deliver. I?ll stick with them.

I gave up on them last year; I think they just have terrible agents who don't send anything out. They sent me the wrong film twice and eventually I got my credit card firm to refund me.

I have ordered from Vidshop once and received my tape within a few weeks. What puzzles me is why have they spent a lot of time and money on their website (IMHO the best website of all of them), giving the impression of a large professional company when their service is an absolute shambles? They seem to have several websites for different countries, USA etc. so I wonder if their HQ realises what is going on with their UK division?
If they got their act together they would be one of the best suppliers to the UK and therefore make a lot more money than they are now. If they leave it too late they'll never be able to get us punters back...

Dunno if it's any use, but the email contact for their domain vidshop.com is mfvc@EURONET.NL ("Rogier ten Cort") of "Spurt Online" and the postal address given is OCM pobox 71 Amstelveen NH 1180 AB, NL.

If these guys are taking your money via credit card orders on the web and then not delivering the product, why not try complaints to their ISP?
