Hi,
A long, long time ago I used to watch some rather erotic Swedish porn movies back in the mid 80's. Now from what I recall they were pretty tame for a good part of the film but then had rather erotic scenes such as girl masturbating whilst watching friend having sex with the good looking guy with an axe.
I always remembered these guys and girls just looking normal but acting so sexy.
My point is can we get erotica back rather than just cock in cunt type videos.
I will admit even my stuff I shoot is crude but I am interested if there is a market for tease going to hardcore but more in favour of hardcore.
I personally want to shoot some very erotic material but need to find out if there is a market out there for this.
Any how sorry for ranting,

i agree entirely,,there is no eroticism involved in to-day's porn, just wham bang.. you rarely see a bloke finger fucking a girl and giving her some pleasure before he fucks her, hopefully that would turn her on and give us a better performance.
i can but dream...jinky..
Re: Erotica: Any Place In Today's Society
Yeah, I'm with you guys on this one, I much prefer passion & erotica in movies... you know the ones that get you aroused before they get down to the nitty-gritty, but they are few and far between.
Apart from almost anything by the afore-mentioned Andrew Blake, there really isn't a lot of true erotica out there. Some of Kendo's stuff does this, especially the ones where they have the old fashioned glamour look, such as 'Smoke' and 'Burlesque'.
I can also recommend a couple of fairly recent films by Philip Mond - 'Insexts' and 'Sinema' - both very much a cut above the average adult movie.

Erotica is much easier to market than hardcore porn as it only needs an 18 certificate as opposed to an R18, which means it can be sold anywhere even via mail order, so i would say there is more money in shooting soft than hard, i have shot both and have sold a lot of material to the adult channels who prefer it soft as they dont have to cut it !wink!
Re: Erotica: Any Place In Today's Society
the recent trend of making sex "female and couples friendly" ie; ann summers on the high street, coco de mere etc etc means that there should be a demand for the same ideals in porn too.
sex toys have gone uber chick, girly nights out are about pole dancing and burlesque lessons and its now 'sexual health' and 'sexual wellbeing' not 'adult' or 'porn'.
andrew blake is one but i have never seen his films on sale in any sex shop.
apart from the usual suspects of anna span and petra joy who make there product for women supposedly i dont think anyone has cottoned onto this yet.
jerry barnet wrote an interesting piece in scarlet magazine about women watching porn where by he summised that women enjoy the same porn as men in most circumstances.
i think its maybe about how u market and package ur porn not about it being all kissy and cuddely and shot in slow motion.
i dont imagine any woman looking to buy her first porno would consider "my ass is haunted". WTF does that mean anyway???

Just because there is a trend to market stuff for couples and women, doesnt mean women in general (all of a sudden) want porn.
The fact is most don't care for it and never did. Women need their brains stimulated - its men who want to use their eyes.

Re: Erotica: Any Place In Today's Society
Recently I've been watching a lot of 80s porn too. The reason being I find these a lot more of a turn on than the standard shag-a-thons produced over the last 5 to 10 years. I have just viewed a US production which markets itself as 4 women on 1 man. A proper old fashioned male fantasy you would think. Unfortunately it is the same old formula of 4 young girls waiting their turn to sit on some jock's prick. Very tedious viewing to say the least. There isn't an ounce of erotic excitement in the film whatsoever and the female cast look bored shitless. The male probably thinks its his birthday but I'm really not concerned what he thinks. Its not the reason I would want to view such a film. Pity porn producers these days haven't a clue what exactly is erotic anymore. I'll stick to the 80s and early 90s until someone is capable of producing something worth paying for. Modern porn is crap and doesn't even warrant reviewing any longer. I sometimes wonder if porn these days is made just for the male performer's enjoyment and ego rather than what a viewer may find erotic. The US and Evil Empire started this crap in the late 90s and every fucker since has followed suit. Personally I'd rather watch 90s euro stuff from Marc Dorcel or 80s Caballero Classics with Porsche Lynn than the shit thats pumped out these days. These older films films give you that fantasy element. Modern films don't even cater for your intelligence. Much like society in general I suppose.

And you only have to view the promotions forum on this site to see how shit porn has become. Look at the ads; Males wanted for gangbangs, bukkake sessions etc. I mean for fucks sake, get a fuckin grip. Total gormless shit. I'm really not surprised you producers don't make much money anymore.

Lucifer Sam, you are so right. Earlier this year I purchased a Zara Whites boxed set - 4 movies made in the early 90's. Looked like it was from a totally different era, as the girls looked sexy and glamorous, and were being treated with a bit of respect. And horror of horrors, the movies also had a bit of story line to them.
Modern porn is just treating girls like lumps of meat on a production line. That doesn't appeal to me at all.
If you've not seen them mate, try some of the titles I mentioned above.
