Sunday Sport Stunnas/Circus Tavern

When I was young ? well younger ? I remember the magnificent table dancing evenings organised by - or at least bearing the name of - the Sport ? mostly at the Circus Tavern in Essex but also at other venues round the country.

Us lecherous punters could admire both Page 3 and XXX Girls at close quarters ? names like Layla~Jade, Teresa May, Louise Hodges and many more spring to mind

Do these events still happen ? If so where?. I am an infrequent reader of the Sport but seem to remember that when I did not all the events were publicised.

A glance at the Circus Tavern website shows table dancing evenings still happen ? but with such an array of talent ?

Do the "Sport" shows continue ? If so where and when ? Can anyone clarify ?

I did attend one of these events back in 1994. But only a few of the advertised "big names" actually turned up - and I was seated at the very back which meant I had to look at the proceedings through a thick blanket of smoke!!!

They were the days! I remember working with Cathy Barry, LDM, Rebecca, Zoe Anderson, Louise H, Hayley Finch, Chloe Valentine and Louis, at the Tavern and the Casino rooms in Rochester then the mad road shows up and down the country, i loved it.

I don't think the road shows are going anymore but the Tavern is. Can't speak for the others but i stopped dancing there when it went from a monthly event, which was packed out, to every week as it wasn't as busy and the money wasn't good.

Why don't you try ringing the Tavern and asking for the line up of girls?

The Adult Channel showed one of these back in 1995/96 which was the Blackpool show and featured Alison Brown, Brooklyn Davy, Cynthia Greenwood, Karen Flynn, Maxine Forrest, Nicky Osborne and Sammy Marshall amongst others.

I also notice that a video version of another show is available, as it's listed on IMDB.

I remember those gigs with great fondness to Yasmin, they were great and always good for a laugh the guys were always really nice, a bit raucous but nice and the other girls were always amazing, I remember and incident one night when one of the punters stuck part of my removed outfit in his beer, my to my annoyance at the time lol.
I also remember bumping into Marino there and also the first and only time I ever met Cathy who I remember as being a very sweet girl.
There was another one of the gigs we did in wales which sadly did not go as well, before we came out on stage the guys were singing 'who let the dogs out!' but they still brought dances all the same!
Sounds like they screwed up tavern when they changed it from being monthly.

I too enjoyed the glorious once-a-month Circus Tavern nights - I was just getting into the swing when it became a once-a-week affair (end of 2002 or thereabouts) and I gave up.
But my best memories are of Kerry Marie, Jo Hobbs, Laura Meadows...

I can report that the Tavern is still open for business on Friday and Saturday nights, but nowadays they use the upstairs dancefloor and VIP area.
The likes of Zoe Anderson and others from the heyday still put in occasional appearances, as well as my favourite, the gorgeous blonde Sport model Britney.

I remember going once with a load of mates,we took up one of those big long tables there was so many of us and we all had good omeny on each of us.
the night we went there was sod all other punters so word came round that it was private dances only.well we went for table dancing and it was table dancing we wanted.we didnt move.managment wanted us to go fro private dances but we said no.when they found out how much dosh we had they then put the girls our way and we had a great night !!
Vida garmen,Louise hodges,LDM,Amanda jane curtian,teresa may and many more where there that night and we had them all on out table more than once.
