To Any Models or Photographers

Post by Grazooma »

Can you let me know about body make-up for stills shoots please ? as opposed to purely facial make-up.

What brands are considered good, and others considered "steer clear of" ?

I''m talking about camouflaging stretch marks, or injury scars, or other.

If you could let me have info on body make-up, including perhaps links to sites or manufacturers of such products (if allowed here) that would be great (I'm assuming that the normal high street face make-up manufacturers do not produce what I'm talking about).

Thanks many, for your time on this.

Hi G,

Your best bet would be to try Dermacolor, available from or Dermablend , not sure if they will cover uneven skin levels such as stretch marks or scars but are great for covering tattoos, birthmarks and Rosacea etc...

I don't think you will find anything on the High street that will have enough coverage but you can look out for Leichner Foundation which is quite thick covering, I usually find it in the market. Or you can try my personal fav MAC Face and Body Foundation but that might be a little expensive if you need to use a lot of it.

Hope this helps,

Charlie xx

Hi Charlie,

I'm thrilled that you took the time to answer, as I didn't think anyone would.

Thanks a million. Thanks too, for saying what you use. Its nice to hear from someone who has actually got hands on with these products.

Useful info, and I'll be looking to get some of their products without doubt.

You've got yourself a new and willing fan.
