I've just undergone my conversion to broadband and can now see the fantastic potenial for the future of the industry. Before, I was sceptical about the technology but it is bloody good at 2mb broadband.
I know the subject has been covered before but which sites are good for full / big movie downloads. (I ask because I know the technology is developing fast and so will the sites) ?
If you ask me the future is broadband download - no porn shop, no pirate, no distribution issues. The age of the bedsitter pornographer is almost here.

Re: Broadband Porn Movies

Beware that as the DRM technologies are taken up you'll find some sites you'll only have access to the movies while your a Member
Been discussed on the forum at the above site adnauseum
Worth asking the same question there about best broadband sites but be specific about what your looking for
one manned banned is reviewd there which talks all about DRM

Good point Deuce. Its not always clear what you get for your money, an eternally viewable download or one where you may have to pay again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, speaking for myself, yes, I have a problem with the whole "property" issue that DRM is an outgrowth of. I mean, I can't think of alot of other products that you pay for which the owner retains so much control over. Granted, there are copyright laws that protect books, music and movies (and video games too, I suppose) but even those restrictions are limited to their redistribution, replaying and copying. I don't think anyone would be interested in paying $20 for a CD that they could only listen to for a month. I know I'm oversimplifying things, but that's the basic concept of DRM and other forms of temporary licenses.
I've been hearing webmasters (and to be precise, some of them, not all of them) complain about content theft and seeing their pictures and videos ending up on other sites without their permission. I'm not sure how prevalent or rampant an occurence this is but I'm sure that it's got to be infuriating to see something stolen that you produced used by someone else to turn a buck for themselves. I'm assuming that the move by some webmasters to licensing their content is a reaction to these types of scams. So in that regard I can see how a program like DRM makes sense for them.
But I think that there are better ways to pursue content theft than to alienate your members, which is what I think DRM will eventually do. Most people who join a porn site want to be able to download pics/vids from it to their own computer. So far we've only come across a handful of sites that are implementing this technology and we've made it a point to make that clear in our reviews. Likewise, I've gone on record saying it's a pretty lousy thing to do to subscribers to your site, at the very least post some sort of caveat or message on your tour pages or sign-up form to let people know the files are protected and cannot be viewed following the expiration of your subscription. I just think that's a decent thing to do.
Ultimately, I don't think that people reading our reviews or us posting here in our forum will stop sites from issuing temporary licenses. I think that people will "vote with their feet" as we say here, and just stay away from sites that use it. Or maybe when they join and realize they can't view the movies after their subscription is up they'll cancel their subscription. Either way, (and I see the latter as the more likely scenario) when site owners start losing money they'll probably wake up and decide it's not such a great idea. As a rule, that's about the only thing that motivates them.
Even the large Movie AVS sites like Adult Bouncer are using it

Re: Broadband Porn Movies
Fine if you want to watch on a 17 inch screen. Unless you have really fast broadband, over 2mb, then the playback will be jumpy. Also you need a very powerful graphics card and a fairly new PC, say last 12 months to do broadband justice. Personally I want to watch HC on my TV, not a monitor half the size.

Re: Broadband Porn Movies
Let me just say that while OneManBanned does use DRM, they are lifetime licences... meaning if you cancel your membership you can still watch the movies as normal. DRM is very flexible indeed and there is a misconception that you can only view the movies whilst you have an active membership. Terry has spent a whole lot of cash over the years and to see these movies appear on newsgroups and P2P can't be pleasant. The DRM we use stops this from happening - which is why we use it. We think we have struck a good balance for the surfer and the pirates and to get a score of 84 on x3guide is very respectable.
You'll also find pretty much all the legal music download sites (Napster/Apple i-tunes etc) all use a form of DRM.

hhmmm, since when did you need "a very powerful graphics card" to view a movie? For games yes but not for viewing movies. 512k broadband should be fine for streaming providing its coming off a semi decent server but downloading the movie first is the best bet... and you get to keep it on your hard disk.

Re: Broadband Porn Movies
I agree there are various versions of DRM around and x3guide did highlight the change all be it in a different manner
Is what they said true that as an ex-member to access the content downloaded you still need to have your old user & password plus be connected to the net?
One big change here right off the bat, one that had to happen is that they got rid of DRM. The licensing prompt will still come up when you play the videos, so don't throw away your user/pass info. And you need to be connected to the internet to view them too. But overall we think it's a decent way for them to maintain control over their content and give members value for their subscription fee. I'd like to think that our old review was responsible for this change, but I also know that for over 30 years I've consumed alcohol at levels that far exceeded my liver's ability to process it in a timely manner. Consequently, any statements I make regarding our site's influence should be taken with a grain of salt the size of Lot's wife.
cheers

Re: Broadband Porn Movies
DRM is the backbone of the new IPTV system and there is nothing to fear about it unless you are a pirate. On our new site you pay for what you get, its like a jukebox you can watch a 20 minute brand new scene at DVD quality on your TV set with only a 6 second delay for just over a quid. That scene will never be on DVD so its the only place to see it. You can watch it twice then its gone it is not a download it is streaming so therfore no waiting. You can fast forward and if you don't like it you can stop and save your minutes in your account to watch something else. This is better that a video store.
The quality is dependant on your Broadband conection 1mb upwards is fine, everyone who has 512 gets 2mb free because BT want to sell you this system. Some guys like Piper are playing with 15mb lines and Bulldog are doing a 4mb. BT are curreently changing their digital cards in the exvchanges over to ATI based boards that are capable of 70mb.
We have all agreed to work on WMV optomising which tests your line everytime you log on so it can match your bit rate, best being 1500kbs which on a TV looks fantastic. The final part in this is the Set Top box which is availabe now but in limited supply as again all the manufactures are waiting for BT to do the 512-2mb conversion in April-June.
Current figures show plainly 12million people will be on IPTV by 2007 now have a look at for more info or ask a few questions I will get my tech's to answer for you. When you get someone like Rem coming here and looking at it asking a shit load of questions then seeing the demo's at the end he say's I am in you know it works.
