Alfie may be a bit insensitive but he does have a valid point. AIDS/HIV has been around for 20+ years so why is it so surprising that there are cases in the porn business?
I'm no AIDS/HIV denier but I think the threat has been exaggerated.

I agree this topic barely warrants inclusion on mainstream news, but right here it is of paramount importance.

It's a contextual matter. Yes in the grand scale of things, it's not that big a deal, but to people like myself, out on the frontline, it is in fact a matter of life or death.

And to Bear up a tree, if you're that concerned about the war in Iraq, why aren't you browsing the BBC's news pages instead of trawling round a porno site?

No, it's not a problem if you are not the one affected! If the problem is swept under the carpet nothing can be learned from it.

Let's face it, this is more than a scare, it is reality. I think Jason, while sympathising with the the victims in the States, must almost be rubbing his hands that it has actually happened because it gives weight to his campaigne for 30 day testing. Initially I too was one who did not see the relevance of reducing the time span to 30 days but after this I can see how much more quickly this outbreak has been picked up. Therefore more frequent testing is adviseable and lets hope that the infrastructure for it can be put into place soon - at a reasonable cost.
Can anyone please tell me if female protection (by way of female condoms) is in anyway an effective barrier against the spread of HIV virus? There is a huge debate about whether punters will buy "condom" porn but nobody is looking at the aalternative of the female taking the precautions which would not be so noticeable in a shoot. I realise that this would not be feasible for anal sex, which seems to be the most likely way of spreading HIV, but do we have to have all this awful anal stuff anyway?
I am, an advocate of real sex- as practiced my the majority of people - loving and giving with loads of tenderness and eroticicm.

I agree wholeheartedly with those sentiments. You don't have a site yourself do you?

A new scare lest we forget?
I think John Holmes and Lisa de Leeuwe both died of Aids........others as well I suspect.
Whatever, in reply to the berk who asked the question: If you have to ask, you'll never understand

Not hypocritical in the least: you adressed the question to a forum related to adult films: you want to talk to a wider audience:.....wherein I suspect most people in here would agree with you, then raise it.
Yes the plague is terrifying........no arguments. The adult film industry however, is relatively small...so without expressing the whole thing in percentages it's sufficient to say that: we know these people...sometimes as well as their gynaecologists........
