british porn has died. I hate people who bang on about the good old days, but I suddenly reaslised today I havent bought any porn in the last year! I have every ben dover ever made, virtually all seventeen, all buttmans, and hundreds of euro titles, but in the last 12 months nothing whatsoever has caught my eye!!!! why oh why has it gone like this? all there is is uninspired generic shite and even the latest ben dovers dont inspire me. does anyone feel the same or am i a big tosser>

In my opinion the problem is that all porn will revolve round shagging of various forms, the options are quite limited. A few years ago I was presented with a 3 hour tape of a night on one of the European Satellite channels. It was all American shit that followed the same format; blow jobs, vag sex, anal sex then a facial.

At least Ben Dover, Relish and the other British titles I have vary it a little. And the patter is priceless.

Now here's a funny thing.

I've been watching a fair bit of British Porn over the last few weeks as I've been given a whole bunch of stuff to review. And I was thinking I ought to post, commenting on what rude health the Uk industry seems to be in.

I have seen stuff by Uncle Ben, Terry Stephens, John Mason, Relish, Viv Thomas, and a couple of new producers too (nothing yet from Marino, hint hint). And its mainly good stuff. Gonzo, stories, amateur and British!

I've also been writing-up a bit of Yank stuff with Brit interest, a bit rougher, generally better locations (surely you've earnt enough now to upgrade the Barnet gaff, Terry?) and, of course, the LA sunshine. But on the whole not a huge difference.

Having watched British porn for 30 years I can say that the best of today's stuff is as good as you'll find.

So why the doom mongers?

I'm a very frequent poster on here, so my opinion probably doesnt count that much, but as an ordinary punter who buys or used to buy 2-3 dvds a month when i popped into the west end, i can also agree with questas post.

nothing realy grabs my attention when i look now, i do seem to go for the british stuff. relish was interesting at first but then they all seemed to be the same, ive even found myself buying the old ben dovers cos they were classics and im now keeping them as collecters,

sorry to sound like a miserable git, and maybe i have just grown tired of it( i already play golf, lol)

but i am just being honest, ive popped into the adult shops on my last 4-5 visits in the west end, and on each occassion left without buying.

ps, i do realise the hard work that you guys do.
