Rip Off Photographer!!

Hi this is a serious warning to all models as Caitlin has just got back from a shoot in Leeds where this photograpaher not only did not want to pay her after she did 3 solo girl shoots for him but he was also manhandling her to get her out of the door!!

She caled me and luckily i know a lot of people in Leeds,so sent a friend round where this guy proceeded to try to bullshit his way out of paying Caitlin.

The guys name is [edited] and claims to have some kind of connection with http://www.channelsix.net/index.html

He would not show any id until my friend turned out his pockets so i know for sure this is his name from all the many credit cards he had.

He is also connected with http://www.no3yorkplace.co.uk/ as he gave this as a business card and when we called the place they were fobbing us off on the phone.

PLEASE any girls contacted by this asshole dont bother going to shoot for him!! it took my friend marching him to the cash point to get Caitlin,s money and her train fair home and we wouldnt want this to happen to anyone else this guy could be dangerous!!

Please advise are you interested in doing some video work. My clients

I believe that a senior partner could be present to see you also. The shoot will be Single girl. The material will be sent to the States to view and if all goes well they will also offer you a 4/6mth contract to shoot in the States @ between $2/$5000 per 2/3 day shoot with all expenses paid.

cant remember why i didnt arrange anything with him think he wasnt paying much or he sounded sus !
it really winds me up when people do this to girls this industry is hard enough without having to put up with arseholes like that !

Yeah deffo sounds a bit suss, but he is clever, nowhere in his email
does he actually state that it is a paid shoot, he referes to it as a
sort of casting shoot for his US clients.

As always beware promises of future mega $$$'s and secure
payment for any work undertaken

The channel six lot look like cowboys anyway, I've tried to book models from them, but they're only interested if you shoot at their studio.

I wonder if the girls know they're turning down work on their behalf?

Maybe we should put them to the test and shoot at there studio!!! i bet the girls on there books dont show up though, cos the girls on there books i have not seen anywhere else!!!

even though it says nothing about it being a paid shoot in his original email when phone contact was made it was very clear it would be a paid $500 shoot plus travelling expenses. My friend in Leeds got all of this out of him for Caitlin but some poor other girl may not be so lucky!!!

yes i have had him contact me as well, he calls himself Alan and says aparently he has a secretary by the name of amanda who does all the emailing and contacting of the girls he requires...he also refuses to give you a telephone number and company name..reason being he doesnt want all the girls calling him and asking for work.....yeah right!!!!! thank heaven i told him to get lost!!! Well if he implicitly promised payment and expenses then revoked, the guy is a numpty and got what he deserved.

Shame their are so many of these stories lately, it just highlights
the fact watch your self and be careful out there.

Pity we are not allowed to name and shame on here as it seems this guy has been doing the rounds, so ladies please be vigilant when going on shoots without a chaperone!!

It is simple really tell someone EXACTLY where your going,call them when you get there and call them before you leave. Your well being is paramount as its obvious some of these bogus guys couldnt care less about you as long as they get what they need!!
