Vote: Online certs. Yes or No?

I have actually mentioned this before. I have now resigned from UKAP, so I can say my thoughts. UKAP seem to act on policies dreamed up by certain individuals with a vested interest.

Some time ago there was a policy to INCREASE the fees for models, you may ask why on Earth would producers wish to do this? Well in my opinion it was so that some "Big Cheeses" could put models out of the reach of normal producers. They didn't give a toss about the models as such.

So on to on-line certs, the simple fact is producers don't give a flying fuck whether a performer is dead or alive, they simply want to make their show. Sometimes dopey models show up with no cert. So the idea is, that these same dopey models who can't pack their tests, would have had the forsight and wherewithall to upload their tests before hand. So "The Show Goes On", on the basis of on-line certs. Everybodies happy!.........

Apart from me, because it will become very tempting for some models to alter the dates on their tests, after having looked at their groins and said, "Ain't no scabs there, I'm sure I'm fine!" and simply upload the same test again and again, but just changing the date.

You wouldn't have to be Salomon "Sally" Sorowitsch, the master counterfieter to get away with this!

So maybe now you can see why this idea is so popular with producers.

Already have, lots of times, but it includes quarantining performers who escort, or are known to knock up their own certs.

I could have gonnhorrea and chlamydia right now and book a pornstar, bareback, for tomorrow night......she'll be on set the next day playing pass the parcel with my viruses.

Same old, same old I know, but it's the reality most don't wanna address, or say it's not a problem, yet mess about with 'big ideas' about online databases and the like.

There's a big difference between wanting to do something and looking like you're doing something.

Jim, no need to do the research, any collection of personal information such as that proposed would definitely be subject to the DPA.

Ive come to the conclusion that all those who sound off the highest and repeatedly make personal offensive remarks without offering a suggestion of trying to make something work DONT actually care.

Theyve turned a simple trying to canvass for opinions and votes into a warped personal attack. Not just a criticism but a personal attack.

Or maybe the agitation is largely to do with the fact you are just plain and simply resistant to change or the idea that anything can ever work at all.

If you concentrated your energy positively maybe you couldve swayed the votes in your favour but thats the difference isnt it?

Complete packof lies Jim. You are so off the fucking mark and out of order with it! producers do fucking care loads more thanyou do. Ive attended more meetings than you and seen people bored to tears on how to deal withthis subject. i even heard the term ground hog day being used. The only way forus to deal with this is by being proactive and reaching out to the model community....name me one effort you did with this in mind. The extent of your idea was to turn UKAP into a charity...I'll let you explain the rest because you lost me at th emeeting mate.

Actually Jim this idea has been kicking around since 2004 at the meeting in sadlers Wells..Oh where were you then? Hmmm.

Ironically this idea resurfaced when SGS brought up a medical forum when the model forum came up so I suggested why he doesnt he do it? As per usual I offered my service to help out and found out it was popular among the performing community and non UKAP members (as well as UKAP as well)and still SGS lacked the courage of his convictions to do anything about it.

Fucking typical but here we are with people pointing fingers at a non profit association who do it because we do care....The only agenda we are furthering is that UKAP is the place that actually does care in an environment where no one actually does anything

As for scare mongering withthe data protection act i already suggested a way around that by excluding the details and that ht eonline certs were a reference to see who is available and ready to work but somehow that was spun around to be made likeit had sinister intentions behind it.

If I had a record for being a rip off merchant i could understand the resistance to this. Ive been actively involved at most things to do with change in the industry including the present 30 day testing.

People should stop making this personal and band together to make a hapy environment than a hostile one resistant to change.

Ok I said I wouldnt post again but I am because this seems important. I think it's a good concept. Far too open to fakery though, and as such could promote a false sense of security.

It is a problem that will need the cooperation of girls, the places which cert those girls and producers. It would probably mean introducing some kind of approved status database rather than a cert database.

UKAP must make some form of move to liaise with the health authority.

All girls have mobiles maybe a text message from the place they have been to for certs as well as the cert which could be forwarded to the UKAP rep, or an email confirmation which could be forwarded to UKAP then verified.

Terry is right some producers don't give a shit if a test is in date or not...

There 1st thought, shit the location cost a this much ohh and I hired this and that equipment...

A online testing system will make the industry so much safer, unless the people against online testing have something to hide and are very artistic when it comes to there own test and how to make the dates look pretty and match...

Ohhh and another thing....

Its so easy to fake a test i had mine done a few times when i first started by my employer at the time, as my Hospital weren't able to give me written confirmation...I didnt agree with it but it still happened and no one any the wiser
