Hi Terry

I suppose we do have strong views as a lot as changed over the years since we started & its hard enough for us to keep up let alone new people in the industry. We get lots of amateurs who come to us when starting out & John will do showreels, pics & a simple site to start them off for nothing as most of the time they don't have a pot to pee in. Some producers say we are mad for doing it but we have built up a strong community in the amateur industry where everyone looks after each other through good or bad. What you do with your UKAP association is a bit like us with our amateur friends etc but people see any kind of group as a threat but tough shit. John ain't keen on people taking the piss out of others & a couple of weeks ago he visted some guy in Kent who was running 5 escorts on Adult Work & taking 50% of their earnings as well as earning on their films clips & pics. The guy saw the error of his ways & John done all the girls a simple site & told them to work independant, he also has shown them how to do their own AW sites as well. This is why we get the hump when escorts are slagged off because to us they are just another extension of the sex industry. Yes we earn money from the industry (not a lot) but we give back far more by helping people.

Kim x
Terry you have always tried to help people which is good in our books & like anything you can't please all of the people all the time, some fear the UKAP association because its authority in their eyes & this shouldn't be.
We would like to join the UKAP association but as you know we do speak our minds so please think about this first with the other producers.

Captain Wow

You say you want to help but nothing that has been said has brought us any further than we reached last December.

If you could expand from the meeting we had then that would be best but this subject keeps coming up after that day and its no different from the last time it came up which makes it a waste of time to my mind.

And watch your mouth mate! I have a tendency to get equally nasty with people getting rude with me. Lets not make this personal.

As for sorting this problem out i will say for the last time, UKAP or any other association cannot control what people do and never will.

The porn business is born of rebels and anarchists and that is why it will never bow to any rules made.

Why do you think its such a problem?

Banning people is fine but then there will always be some young hungry buck with a video camera that will want to work with banned girls.

UKAP is not here to police the industry. All we can do is inform and hope people will see sense and tow the line.

I'm stilll waiting for something that hasnt been said before that has been answered ages ago.

You should research this topic and go from there otherwise all that has been said has been said before and then some already

As for the "old boys club" jibe levelled at UKAP , Ive come to the conclusion that the real old boys club are really those producers who have been in the business for along time not wanting to be part of an association looking down at the newer members and see them as a threat to their business.

Thats the real truth.

How can an association with some long serving and new members of the producing community be accused of being an old boys club??? LOL

If producers cant come together and meet and share information like what we have here then of course there will be subdivisions. usually they are made by the critics than the people within.

UKAP happens to be populated with producers who actually do get on most of the time

I've read all the posts on this thread (and previous threads relating to this subject) and in my opinion it's time (actually, well gone time) to stop batting this ball backwards and forwards and try to get something sorted that will, at least, go some way towards stopping the practice of fake certs.

As Sensi so passionately put it (but maybe not in these exact words) "It's the performers health and lives FFS".

True, as OEJ rightly said, the producers alone can't do it all. The performers, as a group, need to be onboard as well. Personally, I would also like to commend OEJ for his valiant attempt at getting the STI/HIV health database off the ground. I feel that it was a dead (and let us pray that does not turn out to be a literal case) shame that the nay sayers came with a louder voice than those in favour of doing something.

As an industry I firmly believe that "doing nothing is NOT an option". To the performers that have posted on this thread (videokim, Tanya Cox, Kaicee Marie and sensi), I would like to say "thank you" for your comments and hope that, sooner rather than later, we can kick the industry (all sides) into doing something that will be of benifit to us all.

Rant over, thank you for reading.
