I know what you mean Zorro. It seems the business model of earning revenue has reversed and that it is more profitable to be stolen from than actually earn from membership sites.

Dont forget that enormous amount of time and patience has to go into all this. It still takes time to get that money I'm sure

I noticed that one of the claimants in this case is referred to in the judgement as "One Eyed Jack Productions".

Because the legal team can get the evidence. Solicitors will represent a client pro bono if there is a good chance of winning.

My 1980s Videx Ltd collection is being pirated all the time. I served time for refusing to censorship my work. Why should some copyright thief be allowed to make a profit out of my copyright films?

He is organising these gangbang parties now, where porn stars are 'paid' to fuck, so essentially he's a pimp!

I suppose like most would agree and a few have said here. Anything that stops all of the tube and torrent sites taking money out of the industry and putting anything back in is essentially good.

But can all of these sites be stopped? Where does it end?

Can someone also help me out? Who gets prosecuted, the person who has uploaded it illegally on a torrent site and on a tube site or everybody who has downloaded it from there?

As it would seem as others have mentioned it could have adverse affect on Mr. Dover's own product. I mean how are you prosecuted, a letter directing you to go to court? Or do the police come a-knocking and take you away? And if they do take you away do they confiscate your computer? Cos i don't know about any of you but if i saw the police cart off one of my neighbours and take his computer away the first thought that springs to mind wouldn't be he's fell foul of copyright laws to Goldeneye Productions but that he was probably downloading child pornography or something like that. A lot of people will not want to take a chance that could happen.

Nobody gets prosecuted. It's a civil matter.

The gist of it is that they are going for the uploaded. Not the downloaders. That way lead to the downfall of that case why Ben Dovers legal arm/ commercial interests having a bad time with the misunderstanding

So the people on here moaning about a company trying to protect their content, would you walk in to HMV and steal a DVD and go and give it to a mate????

Online piracy is costing the mainstream and adult industry millions in lost revenue every year. If the studio's who's content is being stolen and given away time and time again online do not get this revenue back, many of them will not be able to produce new content which will stop the performers working and stop new performers coming in to the industry. So next time you are downloading a free porn movie just remember you are helping to kill the industry you are enjoying.

Well done to Ben Dover/ Golden Eye for making a stand and looking to help the whole industry and other studios with this fight against piracy.

After many years in the adult sector I run a number of adult related businesses that encompass Crowdfunding, Content Sales, News Service and offer consultancy service for those looking to grow or enter this crazy industry.

Your missing the reason why they download

Its not to watch but to re-upload and earn

I have it from those that supposebly know there are a small crowd who have so many uploads their earning USD3000/4000 dollars a month

Thats paid out either once or twice weekly

Its their wage in other words

Its despicable and the because the law is so pathetic many think why not I'll give it a go

Factor in many of these people are located all around the world where the western authorities cant touch them targetting 9000 UK residents will do little more than dry up 1 very small part of a massive pyramid scheme being run by criminal elements.

I dont agree with the Volume thats currently being shared and never have but you have to ask what the hell are the LAW doing to stop it.

The DMCA laws need overhauling NOW to make it something as simple as any site with X amount of take downs is closed.

You do that often enough and those sharing uploaders will simply stop

Those doing it for cash how ever will never stop as their simply spammers
