The Old Bill allready have the right to do what they like as we now live in a police state, what about the Brazillian shot at Stockwell underground they didnt even bother to search him they just shot him, the police can stop and search anyone under the Prevention Of Terrorism Act if they want to so why do they need more rights.

Like most Tory policies that Cameron has come out with, this will last months at the most.
A grim future of Tory spending cuts- followed by Scotland telling us to fuck off and head off down the road with our oil, gas and independent nuclear defence- will then follow.

Actually the Police have loads of tools to up hold the law most which was given to them and local authorities in the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act.
Trouble is most of joe-public don't know it or what they and their local councils should be doing. If they did then some very serious questions would be being asked. Not of the government but of the people with the responsibility to do the job.

Funnily enough I was at a council meeting on Monday night and listened to a resident harping on about how bad an area is.
The problem she had was the area was full of rubbish and she wanted the Police to deal with it.
The councillors sat there and let her moan about the Police not doing their job and not a single one admitted that clearing litter was their responsibility.
I was actually stopped by the Chair from telling the woman who was responsible.
Have a guess which party the council is run by.
I have always been in favour of stop on search but remember why it was brought in and the noise that was being made by ALL parties about racism within the Police.
I hate to given the impression I am defending Labour because they are useless but Dave will exploit anything that will get him headlines and when he opens his gob I feel when he gets in things will be just as bad.

It might not be so grim if the Tories cut spending on the benefit claiming underclass, 16 year old chav mothers, asylum seekers, bureaucratic non-jobs (such as Ethnic Lesbian Diversity Out Reach Workers). Then there might be money to spend on pensioners and hospital services for those essentially honest and responsible people who have worked and contributed something to this society over many years. Because at the moment those people are being sold short by this Nu-Labour government who are diverting resources to their own pension protected bureaucrats and the low life scum who have never produced anything (except more low life scum) in the hope that they will be beholden to a Labour government come election time.

Tories redistribute money from the poor to the rich.
