Hi all. Im wondering if anyone can shed any light on a DVD ive been hunting for for years now. Footballers Rude Lives (2004) I have searched high and low for this for years and years now but with zero results.
Theres not even a covershot or screenshot anywhere to be found, yet there exists a review of it on this site.
So what happened to it? Have the masters been lost or damaged? Did it ever really exist?
Im actually working on a Encyclopaedia of UK porn and trying to track this release down has been a constant thorn in my side.
If anyone can shed some light on this id be so grateful!

At the moment im still collecting info, Performers/producers/titles etc etc
Its probably going to be 2000-2010, and later another volume from 1990-2000. If those go ok, then ill work my way back from there.
As well as the usual difficult detective work trying to track people down who used pseudonymous, or just dont want to be found, i have, for instance discovered a lot of the Television X material is impossible to find, either sat in archives somewhere or lost. Seems like as we found ourselves then on the cusp of internet porn taking over, that a lot of the late 90's/ early 00's material has been forgotten or lost.
There must be a hell of a lot of material sat in cupboards doing nothing that should at least be uploaded for prosperity? Maybe any of the producers who frequent these boards could explain why, if they are no longer in the business, why they dont just share their old material?

If you are writing a book then you must know that the material can only be used with signed consent and proof on file that all performers were over the age of 18 at the time of shooting.

Of course, i was referring to material that has already been released but is long out of print.

How is your Encyclopaedia coming along?
Make sure there's a section on the first hardcore R18 films passed by BBFC and the impact of this, etc.

Sorry for the late reply, ive been very busy.
Its coming along slowly, trying to find certain DVD's is proving very difficult.
Not only does - Footballers Rude Lives, seem to not exist,(despite having a review on here!) but others such as Lisa loves - Young, Fresh N Tender, also seems impossible to find. Not even still's or a DVD cover to be found.
Also with most, if not all of the people involved long gone from the business, getting information is nigh on impossible, with more than a few people simply refusing to have anything to do with their previous careers.
I dont want to have any gaps, as i planned on having it as the most comprehensive book available.

Book sounds good, the more the merrier on UK porn as far as I'm concerned.
Does, anyone reckon we will ever see the TVX back catalogue online and remastered? Big pity its never been a subscription service with downloads like Real Sex Pass and the Jim Slip catalogue.
