Amateur Togging

Hi all,

Any advice on how to get that first tog shoot. All the model sites want examples of work to register, which I understand, but it?s catch 22 if you need the first shoot to get the pics

Anyone in the North got any contacts I could work with. Got all my own gear - DSLR and gimbal for 4k movies.

EASY. Just take some nice, clothed, portrait shots of a female friend / Pals wife - Nothing rude - Something you could happily show the vicar...

Using these will show that you have decent equipment to shoot on, that you understand how to use it (Depth of Field etc) and you understand how to compose a photograph...

Then, simply state on the site that you are familiar with portrait work, and now want to progress to figure work... Dont even need to say nude.

That gets you onto the site, and in touch with the models who you can ask to do whatever levels you are after.

Simples. No need to overthink it.

Thing is though, it really IS that simple...

Can't get clearance? Then just use the family cat, or dog, or just shoot some landscapes...

All these photos are for, is simply to prove that you can 'use a camera' at a higher level than just pointing a phone at something and thinking, 'That will do..'

no one's even gonna look at the pics you upload, let alone 'mark you' on them.

Remember, just as much as these sites need the girls on them, looking for work, they also need guys like you, who are going to offer the girls paid work...

It's a chicken and egg situation really, and premise of a 'pantomime' of some rules, supposedly to stop just 'anyone' getting on to 'chat' with the girls...

You want to book them for work, so that's not you, and in this case, its full steam ahead

another alternative is to find a local studio that runs studio days and sign up for one (or a couple). You'll then have images of models you can use and if you join a port site (like purpleport for instance) likelihood is that the model(s) may be on there and they could provide you references.
