My place of employment these days is within a small area , so daily I see the same faces with the same personalities and bore the hell out of me .
Tedious is the word , hum drum existence .
However I have met some really nice people with yesterdays values and experiences.
A work mate , who was a commando in WW-II,in the desert , Moto NO prisoners,
who would say every night he would go out and with a knife have a time with

A Lady who was a mid-wife and decided to become a flight attendant :
1960's Brand new BOAC Jet taking off with all the Top people, The Rear Engine Blew off , on take off , all rescued, taken to a Hanger and a D notice Serviced on them to hush up the failure . Even the Press were told to Zip it.
True Veterans , from WWII at Dunkirk, and all over Europe with stories , of nice and some very moving stories.
School boy the only survivor of a German Bombing raid Day light , wiped out primary School . Now there is a small plaque , in Sussex .
Japanese prisoner of War , with most of the stomach missing , but had no hate for the action .
My headmaster at a primary school was a navigator on a Lancaster Bomber , though he never shared any stories , but was also night blind due to flying
Makes todays wets seem so protected and spoilt with the cosy life.
