I have, at last got to the back of my garage and found about 30,000 old slides that need scanning 'en mass'. I also found my Microtek scanner, plugged it in and it blew up!
So does anybody know of anyone does this type of scanning these days? I can't really afford to pay anyone and wonder if these scans will bring in any income but I could put them on Bentbox and cut someone in if they help?
Thanks in advance.
Dave Wells.

Re: Scanning Old Slides
Hello Dave
I have been a glamour and adult photographer for about 15 years and work with Paul Raymond, TVX and UKAP as well as doing glamour sets for models own portfolios
I would be interested in helping you with this if you would like me to. I have a Canon 9950F scanner that I have not used for a couple of years but I have just plugged it in and it still appears to be working.
It only scans 12 slides at a time so it might take a while but if you would me to have a go for you perhaps you could message me privately and we can discuss it further.
Regards
Simon

Re: Scanning Old Slides
I'm going to be doing this later in the year, once I'm all sorted.

And, one to cheer you up. I hate it when things go to shit - I've just deleted all of my photos from the past two years. :S

I accidentally formatted a drive inside my computer from 'disk management'! Luckily, I can still use the computer as I have a M.2 drive as the boot up drive.
I have some Sandisk mini cds somewhere, but I can't find them! LOL It's finding decent software to retrieve them, as I know that they are there.

Thanks Dave, messaging you now.
Re: Scanning Old Slides
Have you written to the drive ?
Was it a full format or quick format ?
If a quick format and you have not written to the drive most should be recoverable.
Recuva is an easy option to try.
Another is a trial of the Pro Edition of MiniTool Partition Wizard
From the same company is MiniTool Power Data Recovery although your photo collection might be more than 1GB.
For Recovery the code used by the last two may be the same.

Re: Scanning Old Slides
I have a Minolta scanner & PF 3650 PRO scanner , though I know they work unsure if they work on Win10 .
When ever I scanned every Kodachrome would show every bit of dust.
Even though the PF 3650 has ICE to remove any markings
