wow, actually shocked that A) Katie seems to have a few examples of this under her belt, but even more shocked that Katie hasn't even responded to people raising complaints for her failure to adhere to the contract......

actually shocked that some of our "talent" seem to treat their fans in this manner, and then claim that the British industry wasn't good enough for them - funnily enough, maybe the talent is part of the cause of that poor reputation???

Hi everybody.

Somebody managed to get hold of me to inform me of this forum post. As you all know by now, I haven't been in the industry for quite some time now so I don't check my emails, I don't take part in forums and I rarely check in to Twitter.

First of all may I take this time to deeply apologise to both bigboris and spunkie. I am extremely sorry this happened to you.

I had been successfully making custom videos since I first started in the industry, 8 years ago and have made many men, women and couples happy. But unfortunately two years ago I was diagnosed with a serious illness and I had to abandon everything and it was then that I stopped logging in to my email accounts and profiles. To be totally honest my main priority right there and then was my health and I just thought everything else I could pick up later.

As time passed me by during my recovery, my views on life changed. My priorities changed and I no longer felt passionate about being "Katie K".

Before my diagnosis, lots of companies had stopped shooting and most of the ones that were still shooting had stopped paying their models (this is not to say that ALL of the companies still shooting weren't paying... there were a few that I had happily worked for that did pay... even if it was three or six months late). I didn't know why I was still in the industry any more and it no longer made me happy. Instead, what mattered most to me was my personal life, my health and my happiness.

I must admit, by this point I had completely forgot about these custom videos until now. I must have only received about two or three requests before I fell ill, so there may be one other person who requires a refund alongside you two.

If you could please email me the PayPal address you paid with, the date you paid and the transaction ID, I will happily send you your refund and I can only apologise that it is so late. Also, spunkie, if you could tell me what t-shirt it was that you sent me and how much it cost you, I will reimburse you the cost so that you may buy yourself a new one.

In terms of where I am now for those that are interested... I got married and after I had recovered from illness, I wanted to concentrate on my personal life and my happiness so I had a baby daughter who is now 6 weeks old. I had an emergency caesarean so for those of you who can't wait to see the back of me... your wish came true lol!

I've made a lot of friends in the industry, a lot of them I will miss, a few of them I will see for the rest of my life. Cate Harrington being one of those people. If it wasn't for the industry, I wouldn't have met her but I also wouldn't have met my husband and would certainly not have my daughter. I don't regret being in the industry. I have loved every single moment of it and I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for the industry. I have a lot to be thankful for which is all down to the industry. I have enjoyed every moment of it but the physical part of it is no longer for me.

I honestly didn't mean to upset or anger anybody, or put anybody out. I most certainly didn't mean for anybody to question me or even question the state of the industry because of my actions. I'm sorry that this has happened to you and I would like to put it right. I hope you can understand why this happened and I also hope that you can forgive me!

can I please just say thank you for being so open and explaining in very clear, and honest, words about what has happened in your life over the past couple of years?

I know I've made a few comments aimed at you, and I must apologise, because it's clear from what you said above that you have taken a decision (the right one I must add!) which is for yourself, rather than for a "job" and I'd like to apologise, and say I wish you and your family all the best

Hey Katie... you was always a top girl in our eyes, we loved working with you and you was always professional.

I can understand the shock of being diagnosed with a disease, as my baby sister as just been diagnosed with MS. You are right to focus on you, we only have one of ourselves, and no matter how much pleasure we get out of pleasing others, it's important not to forget yourself.
