Dusk Films and Freddies World are members of UKAP yes but Harmony is not. In previous years Kai Zen has submitted awards among others who were not and never been members. They have also won. Last year out of all the awards won short of two were won by non members from pro to semi am

The point is...The request is put out on here, our site and other social networks for people to submit their content for consideration

Last year a couple of reputable producers made snide comments about the awards but were more than welcome to make submissions.

As I said from the outset, if they dont submit anything or get it in on time when they've had two months we've only got whats before us to judge on

That said, Im sure any answer I give you will not be any good anyway but Ive at least answered your questions. Im sure it was already answered all ready

I dont get involved with the selection or nominating but I did choose a girl. I dont know Anna Joy and I doubt she was chosen because she uses the UKAP forum. She must've been selected by a number of people if she made the short list

Instead of slagging off what we do and how we do it you havent considered the fact that if people dont respond its because theyre either too lazy to participate, cant be bothered or plain old fashioned dont want to

I was asked to get in touch with a couple of companies who said yes on twitter, I chased them up and still nothing. Companies like Harmony are on the ball and respond quick

You have to remeber there are external influences to the UK business (ie ATVOD) that have all but put paid to the likes of PlayBoy entering anyhting and Im not sure whats going on with TVX so the range is limited for a reason

What youve said about awards can be applied to all awards Whether it be Plumber Of The Year or Employee Of The Month I dont think anyone takes them that serious but its just a recognition from peers in the business as an appreciation of your work...

I certainly dont take this stuff seriously but I've enjoyed winning awards in the past. Its just a good night out. I'm not fussed asbout meeting thetop birds. Every girl to me is a top bird. I just think for all your criticism that you dont take it for the spirit that it is intended..maybe you should go the AVN's in Vegas

If people dont want to support industry events then dont turn up. The events will dry up and there will be no more. Its really that simple but the reality is, you know it will be a success by virtue of what it is.

I dont manage the awards

I think plenty people are interested in our meets. We had 60 people (20 more than expected turn up to our June one)

I dont mind you not liking us though. Honestly thats ok by me

Ya know Jimmy, If I didnt know better I'd swear you was someone who had an axe to grind with UKAP and given how far youve taken this I can only think of one person right now BUT I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are not that person

My concerns with the business are more global than awards and parties.

You should ask them because youre the one thats wondering why and if you found out theyre not interested wouldnt the next question that followed be a "why dont you care?"
