Work - is it in decline

Post by bonniemil »

Another post from me that will probably annoy some people! A brief history- I was active on Purestorm a few years ago, from about 2008 through to the dark days of "Group 69" where, for some reason, things got really sticky and the site never seemed to properly pick up after that.

The reason I mention this is that the same thing seemed to be said over and over "not much work at the moment" - "It's the recession" etc.

So, is this true? Has there been a decline in the ammount of work available? Was there ever a "golden age" of work for online models.

I would speculate that really, there never was. But I don't know, which is why I asked.

Also (please read this before reply) this is not personal. I know how much work I've been getting, and (without meaning to be impolite) I am not asking for hints/tips. This is a general point of interest for anyone who might want to engage with it.

Please contact via e mail in the first instance.

Having been in the business for a good number of years I would say there was a time when it was the Golden Age of porn where girls wouldbe discovered by amateur people like myself and move up the ladder to work for a variety of producers who get them in gainful employment enough for them to quit day jobs.

One only has to look at the amount of teachers that crossed over into this business. The amount of people who crossed over from semi professional jobs to do this full time

If its in decline now then I can only say its the age of content sharing and fee porn that has hit the last nail in the coffin with that

The feeling for some time has been that models have now empowered themselves by buying video cameras and doing their own stuff so much that it makes people wonder why they should pay for content when there is so much being produced for free already

Al I can say to this is this is all sign of the times stuff. If you take a look around it seems that having a website is not as important as having an adultwork account now

Who wants to work for ?300 a day when you can do it for yourself. The problem with this business model is the saturation of new models doing it. I can bet those with Adult Work accounts are feeling the squeeze for all the competition they've attracted

Since the internet started there as been a downward spiral in the industry, like Terry we were known before internet so moving over to a paid site was easy & profitable at the time.

As well as little outfits big companies also drenched to UK with cheap porn making it throw away unlike the porn made before, between the two they crippled the industry badly but left a cheap porn legacy which can't be reversed, the big companies are now coming to an end & with their demise hardly any paid work for models.

AW saw a window in the present situation & provided some means of employment to models twiddling their fingers doing nothing & producers too skint to shoot...the rest is history.

The days of websites earning well are over so its now survival of the fittest in what sells & how it sells, until AW got where it was we were almost ready to give up but now it supplies a lifeline in money to carry on doing what we love doing making porn.

Throw in Web Cam, Phone chat, Twitter & again its another new sources which wasn't around before...porn as changed to a far different platform now.

Is work in decline YES! And NO!

The no part can be found in the fact the business has expanded bigger than it ever has before and is steadily increasing as people try to find a way to make money in the present financial climate.

I would say there are a lot more people doing porn on Adult Work that don't do porn whch is why there is a lot of ignorance with regards to standards and how it is with problems facing it, ie girls offering bareback and parties, ATVOD etc A lot of people coming into this honestly dont think there is anything that will get in the way of a simple transaction like selling sex for money outside of street prostitution because they are doing pictures and video and selling it on an adult platform

There are lot more girls taking up escorting and undercutting other escorts and devaluing the price structure. The same could be said for anything where people are competing for business

So the no part could mean there is a huge potential of making a lot of money if you can figure out how to your market to buy into the service you are provide
