The photos that most people shot that night were NOT taken with the view to them being top (pro) quality. As you said sbglamour, most were shot with on camera flash (admittedly, not a flattering form of lighting), in a crowded pub and squeezed between loads of people having a good time.

There was a "Pro" photographer there as well but he hasn't posted anything as of yet (and, if he reads the critisms, he may well not bother?).

I too applaud Dave and Tracey for the work they put in to make that night a great success.

The "Fred in the Shed" and "Alison from Asda" image associated with the UK industry fails to disappoint with the lavishness of its ceremony.
You could tell it was a classy affair some of the tattoos were even spelt properly and the "fags" were proper brought ready made ones.

Its just me I miss the glamour once associated with glamour.
Sorry if that offends anybody, I'm sure it was a lovely do, just not quite as glitzy as I'd imagined.

First !thanks! to Eddie and Myson for taking time to upload the photos.

Looking at them apart from those taken of the presentations on the stage when it is reasonable to expect photos to be taken to me it appears they were posed or at least those who appear in them were aware the photos were being taken.

Had anyone asked that they were not photographed and/or that photographs of them were not uploaded on to the internet I would hope this would be respected.

Of the requests for photos to be uploaded at least two are asking for photos of themselves.

As to the negative comments while those who posted them are entitled to voice their views I'd bet good money they are in a minority. While yes awards were presented I wouldn't class any event of this type as a formal "Glitzy Ceremony" where everyone is expected to be on their best behaviour at least until the award presentations are completed but primarily as a social event for a group of people to meet and enjoy themselves.

I dont mind criticisms. I just chose to respond to your comment as I disagreed with it because I was there.

Not everyone posted their pics and not a lot of people bothered. I was reluctant to because, well if truth be told, I was being lazy and wanted to socialise but I did get some because I wasnt sure many pictures were going on that night bar the usual ones of girls letting their hair down among other things in the outside smoking area.

Ive always said to those who trash other peoples efforts that if they can do better then the market is open for them to do so.

Show us all how its done. Going by the quality of your work and high opinions I'm sure you would do a splendid job. Whether you'd give me an invite is another matter altogether !happy!
