I'm an amateur photographer and have portfolios on Purestorm, Net Model, Purpleport and Adult Industry Resources (AIR). These have my references on them for models to see and read. Once you have one (good) reference it will become easier.
If I have an idea for a shoot and there is a particular model who I want to work with in the message I give a complete description of the shoot, where it will be, how long, what, (if any) clothing is needed and that it is a paid shoot. I pay the models rates.
I don't do TFCD my images aren't that good and my post production skills are not that good, lets say non-existant!!
Also when I first started some models asked if they could text a friend when they arrived, half way through the shoot and when they've finished. If it makes the model feel more comfortable and relaxed I'm more than happy for them to.
It's me personally but I never use the words like Hun, babe (unless you know them really well). Keep it professional and polite.
It may be worth finding a model who needs little or no direction for your first shoot. I had about 3-4 shoots with a fantastic model who needed no direction. I just photographed her as she went for pose to pose. Sadly she is no longer with us.
Also on a last note be reliable. If you can't make the shoot give the lady/model plenty of notice so they can fill the time, to a lot of models this is their only income.
