Sorry that you are not interested in joining the community, however some of your points totally miss the point. The people using the likes of adultwork and Yours.xxx are not crowdfunding, they are earning a age for the service they offer.

adultXfund is an equity based crowdfunding platform where investors get shares in the adult business they invest in. The projects can raise from $10,000 to $1 Million. The projects have to have a strong business plan so people can invest if they feel it is a project that they want to get involved in.

?500 may get you a few hours of fun, but if they invested that in a project the long-term returns as well as other bonus items the project offers could be more important for some.

Taking you as an example, you may wish to raise investment to expand the number of titles you are shooting and put in place a global distribution network to sell the content over multi platforms and build the Jim Slip brand name. You are limited on how much you can shoot yourself, so the investment would cover a bigger team for you. That is just an example and not saying you would wish to do this. However the pitch for Orchid is to do just that, shoot and release four films a month and distribute on the global stage across all media platforms.
