New AITA statemant

More good news from AITA,

AITA (the UK?s Adult Industry Trade Association) is delighted to confirm that the UK adult performer that initially tested positive for HIV, has taken a second test with a negative result for HIV. With an all clear result, the initial result is said to be due to a clinical error. AITA are in discussions with the clinic involved to improve the systems that are currently in place.

AITA would like to state that at no time was it believed that the potential threat of HIV had originated directly within the UK porn industry. UK adult performers, as standard procedure are tested on a frequent and regular basis for all sexually transmitted diseases to ensure any potential outbreak is dealt with quickly and effectively.

Due to these recent events, AITA are in the process of creating a sexual health sub-committee within the industry and establishing protocol going forward.

As AITA have demonstrated, the UK adult industry itself is quick to move into lockdown for the protection of its performers. In light of this false alarm and the negative HIV result, the suspension of production has now been lifted.

AITA would like to thank the UK adult industry for their rapid response and continual support. We would also like to take this opportunity to offer our sympathies to anyone else that may have also been affected by inaccurate results.

It is very simple - it means it did not come from interaction with the UK porn industry.

We can not name the clinic as that could cause a scare with other people that use the clinic who are outside of the adult industry. It could stop people going to get tested, plus we are in discussions with them.

Let's start with the obvious... when was the first test that showed her to be HIV... ? People are saying it was January, can AITA confirm or deny this accusaion ?

Let's follow up with... So her interaction was outside of the UK, what she shot in America ? In Europe ? How can you say it wasn't from within the UK... she only shot with 1 person ?

I have a full voice thanks, so I dont need to join an organisation to voice it, shame you take a snipe at me wanting to discuss this rather serious situation and wanting to get clearer answers... so yeah shame, some people are never happy *sigh*

AITA came out with our first statement on Wednesday this week. The performer got her result on Tuesday this week. I have challenged the person who started the Jan rumour to email me with details on where they got this date from as it is not true and totally false.

Regarding the UK remark, we meant it was never thought HIV was in the uk industry.

Trust this answers your questions and it is a shame that you feel you do not want to support AITA in all it does for uk adult industry such as talking to ATVOD, working on a new health protocol or supporting adult retailers.

I can't see why people are still confused, its quite simple really, the clinic fucked up! They mistakenly told a patient that they were HIV positive when they were not. End of story.

As I am worn out saying, these kind of errors happen all the time in the health sector. People still seem to be suggesting the performer is in someway "Tainted" because he or she was victim of a clinical fuck up. It could have been any of us.

Hopefully this clinic, which is a strange that they are not named and shamed, will tighten up their procedures so no other poor soul has to go through this nightmare.

Is it not the norm to have 3 tests with time allowed inbetween for incubation (i'm sick of saying this now) before an all clear is given, who would be held liable if you are wrong & have you jumped the gun way to early.

I said I dont need to join AITA to voice my opinions... I did not say I dont support some of what is trying to be done...

However I feel a more precise statement should of been issued, a lot of people still feel there is a concern... and no one seems prepared to come out and say the black and white of it...

Anyways thanks for the reply... so AITA are stating that the first result was this week... and not January... AITA know this for a fact, as in they have seen the evidence ?
