Good point there.
I don't mind selling copyright as long as the financial remuneration is appropriate but it will be good to know first which it is that you do because there are some sets I would never sell copyright to and others that I am happy to.

Selling the full rights to your film is something to think serious about because when its gone its gone, we license our films out to various companies but never sell because them films earn you money for years & years.
Most of us are skint but i find companies like gold shops for instance never give you the true value of what something is worth because times are hard & they know it.
I have films from 14yrs ago which still fetch in pennies so think twice before you sell.

An alternative is do 2 shoots ( or even 3 a soft shoot) when your filming so you can sell one & that way you are happy & so are the company buying full rights.

I have never worked for another company...well until this Sunday coming as Ian from Walpole contacted me & we came to a arrangement which suited us both, for this reason i have always had full control over my content.

If you are wanting quick cash for decent filmed material try Your Choice as they pay ?150 for every 10 mins of footage used & if you are lucky enough you could win a bonus prize.

I have never requested FREE content from anyone! The only thing we require is to see a full set before committing to purchase it.

That is rather a serious allegation, if you wish to continue with it I ask you to supply some form of evidence to back this wild and untrue claim up.

I personally think 3 or 5 photos do not adequately represent a 30+ photoset, no-one in there right mind would purchase anything on this basis, neither do we!

I can back what Jim is saying we get offered image sets and movies all the time and most occasions just a few thumbs plus 1 full size image and similar a 30sec flash/wmv movie sample and "How much will you give me"

To run and publish a decent set/size of thumbs of a complete image set and ship some watermarked movies either on disc or downloads cost very little but at least it gives you the chance that the buyer will go for a deal with you. Even a set of vidcaps of the movies at 15secs intervals along the time line can be run in seconds to show the content and quality.
