I am thinking of upgrading. I've been shooting my adult content on a Sony Z1 in HDV. It's good but looking a tad dated now. I work a lot with full HD cameras but as a compromise I'm looking at an EX3 or similar.
Just wondered what you others are shooting on?

The Sony Z1 HDV is a nice camera dated or not, its what you feel comfortable with that counts & if the quality is there why change it.
We shoot in AVCHD (easy to convert with a good HD graphics card) because we do a lot of content share & John takes his laptop with him on shoots & converts the footage in a media useful to the girls e.g. AVI, MPEG2 & WMV...our film camera, stills camera & lights fit in a large briefcase with the laptop so it don't look out of place to nosy neighbours lol.

HDV here via Sony FX1000 (cut down Z5) and I'm more than happy with the quality.
I also use a small Sony XR520V as a backup cam which is AVCHD and I must admit the ability to drag and drop movies rather than capturing in real time is a nice advantage.

HDV Sony Z7
Handy for me beyond porn. Wide angle and low lux gives me decent results in venues where lights are not a strong point

Hey,
It depends on what i'm shooting but the Sony 270E (nice camera should mount) Long lens looks nice with extremes and closes up shots.. Also I use the Sony PMW EX3 looks very nice real HD looks beautiful. Just order the PMW F3 if you like the 35M look ( honest redcam is in trouble with this one) I have a full editing suite at home kit with decks and using the The MAC PRO 12-Core of course Final Cut Pro 7.2. With FXfactory filters looks nice! I take videography very series as you can see =)

EX3 is nice but I hate the fact that the zoom rocker is really hard to get your paws on if you are using your left hand to get it when shooting with a tripod!

Hopefully, the next FCP due to be released shortly, will be able to utilise every drop of power the mac can throw at it. I can't wait to see it.

Tell me about it Peter I cant wait! @ Pkay You can get the camera custom made for left handed use bro... It's a great camera and the fact that its has a short shoulder mount and you can ride the iris and the focus on the lens makes it a great unit! Besides that its a beast with Natural light..
