norton anti virus is one of the best and very easy to use, their are loads of others out there, but some are complicated.

I've always found PcCillin very good and it wasn't expensive. I bought it years ago and have just been getting updates off the Internet ever since without paying any more.

AVG's good - I used it for a while before switching to Norton (both their AV and firewall) about a year ago.

With all anti-virus software, though, you need to update them regularly.

virus software is for wimps
from 1998 to 2003 I've never been infected (e.g executed an exe/macro/scr file ), someone sent me some javascript that crashed my computer but is that a virus? No, I don't think so.
I've got a firewall (zonelabs) and a bit of common sense.

Virus software I've found to be more hassle than it's worth.
But let's be safe out there!

virus' can infect your pc without you knowing, burning a legit file to a cd or saving to a floppy can create a small virus on your pc.

firewalls are good, the best i know of is ZoneAlarm, it hasn't been hacked 'yet', or so i ave been told.
