This industry is based on free enterprise Bhav.

That is to say, I and many others and everyone else all started out the same way.

Find out what the going rates are. If you feel you are being taken for a ride then please bear in mind that it is iup tpthe girl what amount she puts on her body being used to shoot a video.

If you want cheap girls then dont expect them to be that good either as they will lack experience and you may well regret it.

Remember, for a girl to do this and be seen on the internet she should be remunerated well .

There are far too many cheapskates bringing this game into disrepute. Dont be one of them. If you expect standards then pay for it ie girls are tested, travel to locations on a date agreed, sign model releases and provide ids and expect to have sex with yuo or anyone else you book

Hi Bhavpayne,

You can still book models without references,
if your willing to use a studio for the 1st shoot you can then use the studio owner and 1st model as references.

if your worried about been ripped off then look for girls who list their rates in their profiles/on their websites then you know they charge everyone else the same rate
otherwise if you have a set budgit make an offer instead of asking for rates -
the worst that will happen is they will say no.

Ive done many a photographers & videographers 1st shoots so im pretty experienced at dealing with newbies and i hope my info helps
but please feel free to email me on tanyacox@live.com if you have any further questions.

Luv Tanya

Hi,

I have personally just started out recently myself. What kind of styles and levels are you trying to shoot?

Appreciate the comments and will make sure that I incorporate everything you have said into my ventures, if possible, you have been in the industry for a while and know how things work, would you suggest what sort of numbers per booking should I keep in mind to be a Fair rate. I understand it is dependent upon the category and level of work but what you suggest.

Cheers

I wanted to start of Hardcore B/G straight sex video and stills but on second thought I am moving towards arrangements of top shelve magazine style pictorals upto continental and simulated sex (Max).

Is that something you are also looking to do.

Hi thanks for your Reply, Wow!! Finally a break through, I am based in London can you suggest if you can manage to commute across the city etc... Also can you let me know how to get the studio sorted? or I should find one on my own, cause I feel that if you can manage newbie shoots than that is great for me, we can look into the studio on our own !!

Cheers

Hi,

I see a nice guy gave you a link to my site.

You'll find Rates info (written for models but easy to invert) in Useful Articles.

But ask yourself a question - is this venture a Hobby or a Business?

I usually tell wannabe porn magnates that, unless they can get other people to pay them to film, they will need to be able to risk 20 grand to find out if their own ideas have a profitable niche, AND that it's the MARKETING that matters, not just the content.

More people lose money in porn than make it. The most expensive mistake you can make is confusing a fun hobby where you spend what you can afford and which maybe, eventually, turns into a business, with a business where you spend more than you can afford.

Good luck.

I still love performing and shooting, and always happy to help people make porn. Esp if tittivation.com will be an outlet :-)

Appreciate the kind words of advice, these are important decisions that you want to clear from the onset. One Question I had for you is that how can one mitigate the requirements of having references for shoots??In your opinion..
