o/t requesting a little technical advice

I have a video tape which is NTSC which I want to tape for a mate. However my tapes are all PAL tapes so the copying is not coming out properly. Is there any way around this little problem?

It's not your tapes but your machine. Look at recent posts on this subject by doing a search.

If you cant be arsed to search, the plain answer is you need some serios cash for a converter to duplicate NTSC to PAL format. More trouble than its worth.

Or do what I did: get NTSC DVDs in future, easily convertible to PAL-VHS. Not much use for the majority of older NTSC titles, alas.....
