A mini-rant

Post by Boomer »

Well, a rant-ette really. Please indulge me for a moment - just need to get this off my chest. Why is it that some people post on here saying that they've got DVDs or Vids for sale and invite email enquiries, and then when you send them a polite email requesting a list or asking if a particular title is still available, they just ignore you!? This has happened to me three times in the last 10 days or so, and it's very discourteous- if you've sold your item or changed your mind, a ten second reply would suffice. I'm sure the offenders know who they are.

In stark contrast, the other thing I wanted to say was that I find it very refreshing that, in all the times I've bought or traded dvds from BGAFD posters, I've always had excellent service and not been ripped off once (touch wood!). I know that's the way life should be, but it's nice to know that we're all such nice people on here! (Barring the muppets who can't be arsed to reply to emails, of course)

Watch this sp[ace: well, not this one, LITERALLY....
....if you mail me, I promise I will send the list. And the stuff on it is so good, it will need a Dibble to hyperbolise it.

Can I just add that I have been the victim of enquires from
people,on this excellent forum, who have asked about material I have shot of models.I have answered all their questions and then
you hear no more,a polite no,not interested, too dear or I have
changed my mind is not much to ask especially when THEY have
made the initial enquiry to me.

I reckon some people just do it to try and get someone to talk to them. The same thing happens when I advertise stuff in my local paper. Every sad lonely twat in the universe rings me just to waste my time. And me being a polite person lets them talk drivel at me for ages before I make my excuses and hang up

....and this from the guy who invites in unsuspecting Jehovah's Witnesses, only for them to be seen leaving (escaping) several hours later, weeping uncontrollably, all their illusions shattered....

Wouldn't it be funny if I invited Jehovahs witnesses in and they left a few hours later making a video. Now that would be amusing.

Tell them it's a modern dress reworking of the Song of Solomon, and in order to be true to the word of God, surely everything must be shown:-)

http://www.dansmc.com/Bible/22_song.htm

"Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee. "

"I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots. "

"My spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof. "

"As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste."

"My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice."

"O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely."

"A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed."

"My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him." Sorry, but scat is just too far, (who wrote this stuff...)

I look forward to a wonderful series of What the Jehova Witnessed...

Having actually read the SoS just now for the first time ever, maybe the new Arch Bish should use it for some sermons - it might bring in the punters:-)

I like these:
"My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi".
"Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies".
Hell, haven't we all felt like that sometimes?
No?
Oh, sorry.........

Mrs Halfbrick of the Townswomen's Guild wasn't too impressed, either, as I recall.
