I am looking to start my own british porn production and distribution company. I just need some help, a friendly nudge in the right direction. Do you need and kind of licence to produce hardcore material? Do all cast member need to be health checked by a dr, at how regular an interval ect, any help given would be much appericated.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

I would suggest if you dont already know even these very basics of the industry to not even consider starting your own production company for some time.
My advice would be to try and get a job within the industry with an already established production company even if it is as a production assistant (tea boy! lol) so that you can learn from the pro's what porn production is all about.
Setting up a production company can be very expensive, the equipment alone can run into the tens of thousands so take the time to be around the industry and soak up as much information as possible before you throw all your money down the toilet by being yet another wannabe producer who doesnt really know what he is doing.

In am HD ready, tech savvy, I am next generation cutting edge, I have whole kit for seperate businnes I am running, so I can't get a runner job, I have kids to support. I am capable web designer, photographer, film maker I can handle the production side of things, it's just the paperwork side of things I need advice on. My other half is a law graduate, so I can get stuff sorted out officaly, I just need info points on where to start looking, i.e. where you have to register, do you just register as a regular business would, which licences you need ect. any other legal requirments. I may need some help with distribution, but I believe I can distribute independently and reach a large target market, and make quite a turn over in a short space of time.

Bearing in mind that most sensible distribution is do by download this will be the least of your headaches.
The fact that you've underestimated the single-most difficult aspect of this industry does not bode well - REACHING YOUR TARGET. (sorry for the caps,... can't do bold for some season.)
Look, I don't want to pee on anyone's new shoes - seriously, but this business lives and dies on the result of your marketing and will eat every penny you have at very regular intervals.
I'm not expecting anyone to publish their business plan in entirety here but the bits you have mentioned compel me to ask you to hold on till you really consider your marketing plan.
You may have a plan already... it may be ready to go and solid gold as far as you are concerned... but have you considered your 'failure standards?'
Imagine reaching Christmas and having spent maybe ?20,000+ and made less than ?1,000 - with no real good news on the horizon. This was me in year one... and I had no 'other-half' to explain myself to when it was all looking bleak.
So many people think that having the kit and an ability with it is the key ion this industry but it's not - I am very sorry to say.
Please tell me what you think the most important thing is going to be for you and you may well be on the way to some success.
If you're not ready for this then all you'll find is a big money-pit ready to swallow you up.

I sincerely wish you all the best in this biz but you'll need to readdress your priorities I think.
