1) "OK, thanks, no pictures, no work, bye"
2) I always ask for recent shots showing current appearence. If they don't look like their pics when they turn up, they get turned away.

Here here Kim.
Last night was pure evidence that this level of thinking actually works at the Summer Party
Its common sense but you'd be surprised how a lot of people view newbies with contempt and forget where they started and realise that being in the same business does have benefits in helping each other out.
Lets face it its not that hard to be helpful really is it?
Great seeing you and John last night and thanks for the comics !happy!

Re: What's the most important thing you've learned?
Thanks for the feedback 'One eyed Jack'.
Your comments are interesting. I've always tried to help people out; not only because it's often reciprocated (and therefore to everyone's benefit), but generally it's in my nature. That's been one of the reasons for mentioning XBiz.net to people on this site who may not have heard of it - industry profs can certainly benefit, and it's free (even better).
So the party on Friday - was it a great example of reciprocity in action?
Also, you mention contempt for newbies in the industry - this seems short-sighted, and as you rightly say, people can often have short memories. How much of a problem is this in the industry? [email me if you don't want to go into specifics on the board]
Cheers
Brian

Most importnat thing I've learned is "STAY AWAY FROM PORN!"
Whoever thinks that can make living out of it if so much wrong! Oh yeaa you may get pleanty of f*** but living out of it...naaahhhh... If you lucky to be good looking enough, you can combine porn pleasures with few (4-5) high class escort agencies... Isn't it cool!!!!
