All this dissent and argument is totally beyond my belief.
Nothing is 100% proof but I would have thought it absolutely mandatory to look at this whole question in a very positive light.
Show me a system that is totally bulletproof and I'll eat my hat.
However, instead of finding all these (obvious) objections, surely it would be in everyone's interest to get together and find a positive solution.
As I said, nothing is 100% but even a system with holes in it is far preferable
to doing nothing.

Beck images are you the poster formerly known as Rudeboy?

I defend Real Punting, not because he is a member of UKAP but also because his series uses condoms which makes him whiter than most of us.

With regards OWO and CIM that is essentially highlighting what is going on in the real world and Jay himself is not shy of this issue being addressed either as his performers are all tested too.

You are not the only one to comment on this and I will defend many other peoples brands of porn too. Who among us is innocent?

The point of this whole thing is, risky sex is going on all the time beyond the obvious and we should have a system in place that can tackle it better than the hodge podge system we are sponging off and expect them to pick up the tab in the event of an outbreak (some else said)

Lets all give it a chance to work. If it doesnt work we can say we tried but I strongly suspect now that a lot of people dont actually really care.

I would sure like to be proved wrong on that.

What would we have to do next? A census? Thats no good...we tried that among producers and everyone said yes but come the day the excuse come out

"...Oh too busy"

"I have a business to run" and

"oh I thought you could handle it by yourself...You dont need little old me"

Anyone who picks up a camera and films themselves with girls or girl on girl or boy girl should consider this issue very much their business.

You dont even need to be part of UKAP to support it. Just making it happen is good but its better if you are because the clinics and other people in the business ar emore likely to sit down and meet with a collective rather than an individual.

That method has been tried and fails because people do not see one producer as representative of an industry.

Terry,
Firstly no I am not Rude Boy nor do I post under another name. If you read my post I actually said that I have no issue with how people make their own living, be that escorting, parties etc. Each to their own. The point I was trying to make which you seem to have missed is that if the UK industry is going to go to the lengths of making this idea work, why then go half cocked and neglect talking and dealing with what a fair proportion of performers are doing off camera. I happen to think it is shallow and naive to assume that if it's on camera it's part of the adult industry but off camera it's not. In my opinion it all makes up the wonderful collage that is the adult industry, so why shy away from dealing with it?

I made the point of referring to adultwork pages and to real punting not as a criticism to either Ukap or yourself, although you have taken it like that but simply that this particular forum, which is the mainstay of the UK promotional industry shies away from dealing with it. It is happy for those sites to be promoted as porn but not dealing with the subject matter on which they are based on. You yourself have made veiled criticisms to certain producers who are promoting events 'off camera', including responding to a now deleted post about UKAP on the other forum, how does a slanging match from you or them help the issues either?

As I was trying to say, with the economy as such, more and more people will look for other ways to earn their living, I just happen to think it makes more sense to admit it and bring it out in the open and not shun it.

It doesnt and went off the range on that one but me and that person have made our peace since then.

My apologies for being defensive but I am so used to being under attack as that comment has been used before to obstruct progress by others. Sorry if I took your message the wrong way.

We do talk about those things all the time and invite people to come talk with us on UKAP but again, people are used to heavily criticising UKAP without realising why we do what we do is simply to avoid the shit storm you get from people on here because it never gets anywhere but me fighting the tide of criticisms.

For example people waste time saying that we should all come on here and talk but many producers dont want to be called out by faceless people picking fights when we could be getting on with the practical stuff of engineering schemes like this.

UKAP was heavily instrumental in this happening and until the rest of the industry show their support, it will just collapse.

As I said you dont need to be part of UKAp to make this happen at all and you are right its difficult to discuss on this forum for the flayings that go with it.

What would we class as 'risky sex'...we all have certs etc but would that mean people going bareback or owo as both are as risky, we are all the same risk Pro,Am,Escorts & party girls with certs & condoms being our only defense.
As most know people in the Pro industry get more STD's than in the Amateur industry because you all do no condom sex, would clinics give advice on going bareback/oral etc like NHS clinics or just shut up do you test & take your money knowing how dangerous this is.
Risky sex is porn whatever the ranks & to single out certain groups would be wrong, some already think they are better than others & this would only fuel them instead of stamping them out.

Cate..I loved that last line...My NHS does. I could picture you with a cheesy TV grin and a glint on your teeth

If the NHS was like that all over the country then there wouldbe no need for this system and that is the major problem.

There is no uniformity to how they do their tests. No uniformity to how they do their certs. Some hand write. Some type and there is no way to differentiate between the two and a half way decent fake done up on photoshop.

My belief is two or three fakers out of hundreds is two or three too much.

We all know how many dominoes can fall in the event of an infection and thats why this whole business needs to have one simple standard and if in doubt can be verified.

Otherwise its all still russian roulette with no means to effectively quarantine.

The reason why the clinics wont come together on this is similar to why the industry wont either....Because everyone thinks the system works for them but it is not working efficiently enough for everybody.

No one said that Tammie.

Is everyone actually saying the present system is actually ok then?

We could kill this quick now if thats the case.

its just that various people have prompted this by suggesting, requesting this come about and be more in line with US and Europe and in light of people faking their certs recently under NHS headlined paper why this initiative was pushed through then when it was last year it collapsed due to lack of spport from the models.

Producers were interested because we were showing we actually cared but if no one actually wants it, especially the models whose interests it is in then perhaps we have been wasting our time but this thread and others as well as the work that has gone ionto i tso far will serve as due dilligence on the part of producers who are members of UKAP at the very least as not only did we try to do something about it we even offered an incentive.

Truth is most of us are actually tired of it until Clinic Express mentioned it was actually happening.

My prediction is if something does happen that people will be running around like headless chickens panicking like they did in 2003 when the 30 day testing became standard because of what happened in the US where 6 models (one first timer) caught HIV
