You have to prove its true though.

Its not just the poster that gets 'done' , all involved in the chain of spreading the libelous comments are equally open to prosecution.

In the case of Demon Internet v Lawrence Godfrey, Demon ended up paying out ?250,000 because they carried the libelous comment on their news servers*

I have a friend who works for WHSmith Wholesale, they're always paying out libel claims, and all they do is deliver the magazines from the warehouse to the shops. But they distributed the libelous material, and so are open to any claims against them.

I'm just glad I could help. I'm just so sick of these scammers and I'm sure other models must be too!

Glams,

I don't think Donna's post is in the least bit pointless.
She's spending her time emailing models the name of the dodgy tog and in so doing, helping other models avoid having their time and money wasted - what's so pointless about that? Donna needs to be commended.
Thanks again Donna.

i don't think donna's post is pointless- but she can't email everyone.

the name of a town would narrow it down alot

Much more than a handful but never a waste.

Hi Naomi

You said in your post quote - ( She's spending her time emailing models the name of the dodgy tog and in so doing, helping other models avoid having their time and money wasted - what's so pointless about that? )

To be honest Naomi if every model spend time posting about dodgy photographers and timewasters it would be a whole new site / forum in its own right also you have to be very careful before calling someone dodgy! you must have 100% proof as it could of been a simple communication problem.

The same can go for dodgy models, i have worked and dealt with both 100s of models and photographers over the years and some stuff would make your hair curly with what they say and things they ask.

My main point is if a model has a real problem with a so called photographer or poster on any website or forum if its nasty emails, general abuse or even problems at a shoot either go straight to the police or email the website or forum webmaster and inform them of the problem it just depends on the what's gone on between the two parties involved.

Don't cause more problems by posting on sites like this and getting others involved it can just move the problem on to other sites with the so call dodgy person can post or contact models elsewhere.

Also the person she is calling dodgy it a good chance they read forums like this and will see her post! they there not stupid and will know she posting about them.

If the person is genuinely dodgy let the webmaster try to deal with the mater first and if they think there a need to put some sort of post about the person or persons fine, or if the person is major dodgy go straight to the police.
