surely the only people who need access to the database is the actual performer who has had there tests done with the clinic, at the end of the day the only person who needs to be concerned with test results is the performer who is doing the scene, it has nothing to do with the producer as at the end of the day its not him/her who is going to potentially catch a std/sti etc... unless of course they are part of the scene.

thats just my take on it, so if a particular performer wants to check another performer tests are valid and vice versa then they both will already be on the database, some random person who hasnt been tested need not access the database whatsoever, so this will avoid "random notw reporter" wont it???

The issue is :-

Paul Jones states - "I am a stud" gets his certs and contacts DB to list results.

Paul Jones contacts DB and says - by way of SQL query - "I'm working with Lovely Girl, is she safe?"

So far, so good.

But, Paul Jones is actually a RedTop reporter who, on account of being unable to hack celeb phones anymore, decides that what the world needs is yet another porn expose becasue he can link Lovely Girl to a Married Footballer and feels that it is in the public interest to know and ex;pose if Lovely Girl has any dodgy medical history.

As I see it the only effective methodn would be "members can only see their own results" - which works if you know that everyone has mobile internet enabled laptops and can log on at shoots and show their co-workers their records, but guess what, most performers lack such tech...

And I for one will NOT type my password into anyone else's PC....

I do hope this will capture peoples interest Chris. Could you elaborate a little on linking up the private and NHS clinics to a central database?

Also I meant to ask you would you be able to assign each identity with a string of numbers so that only industry people can access information and not outsiders?

And finally - you mentioned a possible slightly reduced rate dependant on numbers prepared to sign up to this. What sort of numbers would you need to see to be able to offer the rate you mentioned - feasibly?

The system we had in place involved the performer being issued a PIN or client number that she would issue to the models he/she is working with or the producer or both with a 12 hour window to access the info which would either be green or red to let the person inspecting know the result without flouting the data protection laws.

This still requires the performers to bring their paperwork to the set for the usual 2257 records but the beauty of the system was the producer could download a copy for their records.

Oh and the clinet could change their password for every shoot if they so wished.

Also the reason why the producers would be privvy to this is so they could determine who was within their test period before they booked them so that they wouldnt have to scratch their head and compromise a shoot on the actual day.

This was paramount to me when i shot stuff outside of real couples in the last year and there was always excuses for not having the paperwork. i was shocked and quite happy to pack up my kit and go home but the perfroemr co producer felt it was ok and I reminded him if it was me i wouldnt do it on principal but he insisted and I was called in as a cameraman so why should I care if they dont.

Never get between a man and his hard on seems to be the rule and that somehow lays at the heart of why some people dont want to see this happen.

I think th emodels should spear head this and if they want the producers to adopt this new styandard then just keep us in the loop and it will happen.

If this loses out the third time round then the only way i see people screaming for it to happen is if someone actually gets HIV so why wait for that to happen?

Cmon guy and gals this is our big chance to change the UK industry forever and safeguard our health and livelihood.


We'll pay out a moderate fee -which will get our results back to us MUCH quicker insuring more shoots AND no missing out on shoots when the clinics post them out late!

Last time Terry and co put a lot of thought into how to run this to protect our identities - we really have nothing to lose!

So, who wants a better, stronger , more efficient system that will protect you, your loved ones and your future familes??

I think it is a great IDEA, however, Im not so sure it will actually work.

I would be willing to do this but on certain conditions:
- There was a clinic close by to me I could go to
- All certs are ID checked
- All certs have throat/anal swab tests
- It is a reasonable price
- There is some security for the site

I already go to regents park clinic and they are great. They cost ?125 and ID check everytime I go as well as always taking a throat swab.

My main concern is who would have access to my details. I don't want the whole world knowing my name, address and results.
I think maybe if the model had control of the cert results and could maybe get a pin or pass which they send to the producer/model so they can view it for a set period is great but i think that a different code should be given every time.

I really think this is a great idea but i guess it all depends on how many people agree to it and the security of the site. Its just soo easy for people to hack into sites and to get information. I think thats the problem.
