Beware...Thgis business is the quickest way to lose a lot of money real quick espacially if you are not doing anything different with those same said models who have done the same for everyone else already.

Ask yourself these two impoprtant questions and be brutally honest with yourself.

Am I getting into this to get laid?
Am I getting into this to make money?

Somewhere between the two then you may as well just blow your money on escorts and have a bloody good time with it.

If it is to make money then I suggest you do some serious homework on how the business works then ask yourself realsitically have you got the kind of product that will actually make money.

...But Im sure you have all this figured out already.

A few scenes and irregular updates do not make a site and I would say at least ?100,000 would be a decent start up over a couple of years. Anything less will not generate you much interest as a website unless you have something that really gets people talking.

There are loads of other things to consider but if you stay the distance you should be ok.

In truth if I started out now I wouldnt bother.

Make a few of your own to start off with. No one will ever hire someone to direct unless they can see what your abilities are.

Too many people are shooting porn and those with a distinct style will get noticed from the rest who just stand there in one position and film a whole scene on wide.

Have to agree with you there Terry to start from stratch today is hard & like you we wouldn't bother now, its surprising that even with all the media nowdays how hard it is to get your goods out to the people so fuck how we all did it years ago.
Make friends Sean with producers, models, go along to socials, get togethers & find out whats what, most will be friendly & some won't like in any industry.
Please don't ever talk money on here or what you have (funds etc) as like anywhere you will get fleeced if you are wet behind the ears, before you think web-sites make a couple of films just to feel your feet & you will know if porn is for you. Keep funds down to a minimum while you do this & while you are building stock put clips on Adult WorK & Clips for Sale to get some of your money back.
This can be a cut throat industry for newbys so this is why i said get to know various groups of people & find which lot suit you & your needs.
We got into porn my mistake & love it & some do it just for money & that don't work, anyway welcome to the forum.
