Aim wont work because there is not enough work to justify paying a private clinic over ?100 for test.As far as I am aware AIM is run for profit who determine who makes that money.Using the NHS is the way to go for me.As they say if it aint broke dont fix it.


Fanboy... Your comment just translates as you do not value your health and the health of the UK talent pool and that ?100 is too much to justify a secure, safe and professional working environment.

I agree with your sentiment, however how many pro performers also escort? (taboo subject on here I know but isn't that actually endangering non escorting performers? And forums such as this which ignore that fact or deny it happens?) How many pro performers offer bukkake for contribution paying males without certs? And actually promote such events on forums such as these? And then a few posts later there are images of them performing with other pros for other sites.

Condoms won't work because if they were used to their logical conclusion, the pop shot would be a guy pulling a semi limp dick from a pussy, holding a condom on with a bulge of sperm at the end, what paying consumer of a mainstream site or DVD will want to see that in every scene?

People seem to want to either blame or place responsibility on the producers for this issue. A producer is paying out his own money to make a product to sell in the marketplace and make a profit. People have mentioned Vivd and Wicked and their various use of condoms. Do people believe these 2 companies are actually making the same amount of profit they were 5 - 10 years ago? Also there is no one in the UK big enough in the world marketplace to be able to go condom only and expect to survive, it's niche at best. Those that want to work with condoms, simply state you will only work with condoms. Take it upon yourself to do it and not expect others to.

As I've said in other posts, the UK industry is at best a cottage industry. For those that feel that strongly about it, why not get together and set up a specialist condom only fetish site? Do you pay the NHS for your tests?

If not, then I feel a little upset as I don't mind paying my taxes to cover people who are having genuine problems having caught an infection, but I do mind paying for people having tests for free and then making money out of them. The NHS ends up spending more on tests than it needs to.

I appreciate that there's not thousands of people a day using the NHS for porn STI tests, but it just seems wrong to me.

I fully agree with condom use,however it will never become universal while you have young chav's willing to do a bareback scene for a tenner and people willing to use them.

It's so difficult as we need a system that will not be open to abuse, or at least eridicate the abusers.

I do still feel that the use of condoms would be highly beneficial even if not on every porn set in the country, as we know how fast these things can spread - one of the channels quite some time back was rife for a few months after sti's kept going round in circles!
And of course there have been plenty of other companies with incidences that we have seen discussed on here. Even if a few outbreaks are stopped it will cut down on the amount of times these things go round. Condom use for oral, vaginal and anal doesn't stop a nice creamy finish over the tits !

Oh and planeterotica - I've looked at the femdoms in some detail and can't seem to find any reason why they cannot be used for anal......however I intend to get a bumper pack and put them through some vigorous research to test this theory!

It's frustrating - in an ideal world if every one could be treated at the same time and then abstain we would eradicate the world of most sti's other than HIV. Of course this is highly impractical, inaffordable and raises some ethical issues but perhaps one day...

In the meantime I think we pretty much fucked up our chances of Ukap helping us with something like the Aims system when no one showed up so if we want it we're going to have to go out and do it ourselves - any thoughts?

I'm guessing you are playing devils advocate Terry as you mentioned earlier you had taken part in some of the couples videos using condoms...

but of course if the condom were to split then the other performer should get tested immediately. It wouldn't be a foolproof system, merely an extra preventative.

I noticed the other day one of the clinics (Clinic Express) who have clinics all over the UK were offering to host the test data, but from what I could see no performers responded. Of course would all need to be prepared to have our details on the database and any other complications that come with it but you can't put a price on your health.

I think ?120 per month as well is a good investment in safeguarding our health and other performers health. I'm sure many spend that at least on drink/fags etc
