I forgot to mention - a guy does not need to struggle with trying to maintain an erection whilst rolling on a condom if the female alternative is used which is another plus!

Has anyone use a female condom in their scenes and how did you find it? Any other pro's/disadvantages?

The thing is Kaz - if everyone (male & female) is careful and uses protection for penetration & oral off camera and for non-certified shoots and stick to only stomach,boobs & feet pop shots were cert's aren't used; then the cert system would work.

unfortunately it doesn't as everyone isn't careful and most can't be honest when they get an infection either.......

ive been in this industry 20 months and have caught an ifection 5 times - each time ive told all the performers ive worked with since my last test, but somehow im getting these infections all on my own cos everyone has always come back to me telling me they didn't have it.

i also know - many ive told , have just carried on working till their cert runs out without getting checked.

This is the main problem,

But i agree comdons would make me feel safer, as im often thinking of quitting doing certified and only doing upto continental and protected (included oral) b/g but at the mo , i love my job too much to take the leap, but while im still doing this, i do except im risking my health/life by staying in this industry.

I will add my support to using comdons but can't see it happening and remember kaz you always have the choice of only doing protected also.

I am all for performers health and safety, but it is strange how we harp on about it when on set, Yet never at any of the industry parties when everyone gets drunk and dirty have I ever seen a condom being used or a test to be asked for. Yet there is plenty of sex going on. Makes a bit of a mockery really.

As for me I will ride bare back to hell. Yet I am one of the lucky ones that has the immune system of a Kimodo dragon ( I dont know if the speeling is correct for that particular lizard

You might be able to get support for a voluntary agreement from certain companies , but a UK industry agreement will never happen. You cannot force a company or individual to use a condom, that would require a new law to be passed. If you want that then you need to be speaking to your MP. because no matter how much market there is for pro-condom material, there is an equal, if not more, demand for non-condom material. it is simple business logic. if there is demand there will be supply. even if every producer and performer went pro-condom then that would just leave a vacuum which new producers and performers would fill.

it can only be down to the individual performer who can choose to or not to use condoms. if you want to remain "safe" then you have to accept the consequencies of that choice and only work for pro-condom producers.
