Really EASY way to post pics on BGAFD

I get really irritated by all the pop-ups etc that you get on these imagevenue, imageshack, imagecrap sites.

So last night I threw this bit of code together for posting pics on BGAFD. It's as simple as I could make it - so there's no frills like image resizing etc. but it posts full size pics - not thumbnails...There might be a few bugs to iron out, but we'll see what happens.

If anyone is interested I'll smarten it up a bit.

So anyone - feel free to use it! If it starts getting abused, hacked etc, I might tighten up on it's use, but meantime feel free... Oh and there is a little advert for me under the pic !happy!

Nicely done. One thing: if there's a space in the image name it doesn't insert %20 to make the link valid.

e.g. [img]http://www.rgbphotohost.com/images/Leopard Logo.jpg[/img]

You can do it by hand after you've pasted it into your post but such tinkering might defeat the object of the exercise.

Good point, Admin. I think using "urlencode" somewhere might fix that.

You also going to suffer from people using the same name, from the 1000s of photos I host, if I run a query on original file name, there are dozens of times there 'pic1' or 'me' or whatever has been used.

So you need to assign a unique name to each one. This also solves the space problem too

You will also need to use some sort of resizing incase people upload 4500px images and distort forums.

The list is endless.

And it works - as long as you don't have any spaces in your file name.

I know, Cenobitez, it could be nightmare. At present it doesn't allow the same file name, it must be a jpeg and and it can't be bigger that 350k. I'm about to set the hotlinking so it only works on BGAFD. I'm going to keep a close eye for a while.

You can't, because you have a space in your file name. Otherwise, it would work fine.

I started writing a script that turned into a nightmare, so I bought in coders from the states to work on it, and I have been testing it since august on bodmod.tv (closed community like your doing bgafd only) and now the code is fully stable and I have fixed most the problems, I have opened it to a wider audience
