What a good and thoroughly sensible idea!
I don't find myself in the hardcore end much anymore - as it were (lol) but I'll watch out for this with interest.
Thanks Keni.
And again - TOP BLOG!!!

sorry yes if there going to upload them for us then it is a great idea and i stand by it, - i was just stressing at how the hell i was gonna put my cert on the net when i can't even manage to attach pictures, ( i have to always send them 1 by 1 through my disk drive ),
while the system stands as it is, i think we should all be checking id with certs as we don't all use our real names.
It's really scary the thought of performers faking there certs; come on guys we have stick 2gether and stay safe.

This is all about a few producers who call themselves UKAP trying to control the British porn industry and will make it harder for new talent to enter the business, yes stds do exist and every performer should be vigilant and make a proper check on the certs of any one they are performing with rather than just a quick glance, A database could make things worse if it creates a two tier industry with a lot of part time or amateur performers not bothering to get tested at all the only way a database would work was if it became lew that all performers details were registered on a database but i cannot see this happening.

Im going be blunt....

Who ever is against this is a complete prick....

This is something that can only better the industry by taking out the risk of faked certs...

For all the haters im just just a humble stunt cock can someone please tell in very simple terms why this is not a good idea?

Ohhh and not use the UKAP as a excuse or how it will be the smaller companies out of work....

If people are going to test at certain testing clinics and the clinic then upload them into a system that can be checked online on the day of the shoot why is that such a issue?

Let me ask you a question, if this database happens and you are offered a well paid shoot with a girl who isnt on the database but has certs would you turn the job down.

Planet

You could not be more wrong. Harmony Films are currently not part of UKAP but I was invited to go along to the first meeting with one of the companies that can offer full UK testing with a single certificate from all clinics and a central online database.

I am afraid that I could not make the meeting with the second company looking to offer the same sort of service due to being LA at this moment in time. (Great night out with Keiran Lee & his lovely lady last night)

As one of the people that worked on bringing full HIV & STI certs every 30 days for all performers a few years ago, it was not then about the producers being in control and it is not now. It is about the performers health and safety. Of course if everyone has real up to certs then shoots will go smooth, the breakout of STI will be reduced and shoots will not have to be cancelled when people can not work due to breakout, no tests, lost tests, fake tests etc.

So the performers will not loose money, and producers can complete their films. It will also open up the industry to the amateur performers to cross over and if they perform at the require level in to the pro productions.

The trouble is a lot of adult models also do escort work and shoots with amateurs and a cert is only really valid for the day you was tested the other 30 days it means very little as you dont know who the model has been having sex with since the test, so all the database will do is tell you that the cert was valid on the day it was issued and nothing else, if you are going to have a database then you should bring the testing time down to 10 days or less and then you could be going someway to make the industry safer and i would agree to that but to have a database and continue with the 30 day cert is pointless, and by the way i suggested something along these same lines a few years ago and it was scoffed at
