It has an interchangable lens facility.
Records straight to disc 80 gig.
The flip out screen gives a stunning picture.
The Iris is back on the lens as is the focus.
There is a choice of zoom speeds.
It's a better camera full stop

I use fluorescent lights most of the time now. High output, low wattage, and most important in small locations, almost no heat off them. They come in many forms and sizes, cheap and basic to expensive with all the bells and whistles, like dimming without changing the colour temp. Flat, they fit snuggly up against a wall and light weight so dont usually need too heavy a stand. And just becoming available are affordable LED units that dont require the changing off the tubes from tungsten equivalent to daylight; you can just dial in the colour temp you want and voila.
