I must agree with you jim this secret society close to resembling the freemasons Have seemed to have freeze me out after a succesful audition in 2006 being my only crime being asking for ?150 per scene and a copy of this for my own personal pleasure. After all what the point in doing a porno if you cannnot see it yourself.

I know very little about this business so can you tell me if UKAP and walpole are connected as I registersed my profile online with these people and never ever received a response even after various phone calls .

The current auditions that have once again been cancelled are a joke as when I auditioned jay a tas were well impressed . I urge wananbe porn star reading this thread to think twice about ever paying for a audition . again I dont anything about this biz but I would guess that the producers are making the real dosh in out of this !

2007 there was a Porn summer party and a audition

The party was OPEN for everone and the audition was FREE

Now we have 2008 and

The party was CLOSED(strictly for insiders only ) and the audition was 150.

So I was not really surprising that it was canceled

I m sure they still think that people stayed away because of 150 bugs

Ive had discussion in this area with various performers in the past with the suggestion of setting up somthing for the models but apathy appears to be even worse here.

Most models and performers have a certain ideal of what they would like the industry to do for them but no one has got it together.

Its kind of hard to motivate a lotof models as most are in it till the money runs out or the work dries up.

Most producers are committed to the long term. thats the impression I get.
Plus there seems to be a lot of irresponsible things going on with various people in the model pool that doesnt bode well for serious consideration on turning that thinking around.

I have discounted Poppy only because I think she is rarely in the UK enough to do a proper job withit all but I liked to be proved wrong.

Sorry if that sounds a tad cynical but my opinion is based on several conversations with performers who seemed to think itwas the producers responsibility to tow the line with irresponsible performers.

We are not their parents and therefore have no idea what they get up to in their own time but what we hear from various indiiduals and as you know various people have caught much flack for even intervening.

We are combatting this in our own way of course and this is done by letting people know there is a bunch of producers who are bothered by what goes on and hopefully people will catch on and tow the line themselves.

UKAP funded the 2007 auditions and I disagreed with that. (yes you read right) Even more so with the ensuing problem that followed with the use of the footage.

Thats the thing about this business, everyone wants a free shag, free movies, free everything and they wonder why there is a decline in porn?

i didnt know everyone saw the auditions as a charity event. I personally wanted to keep certain people ou tof the event believing those who are serious would put their money where there mouth is.

Thanks for reminding me of that Uganda. Next time (not a chance really) if I did do this event I will ask the girls I had lined up, (one of which was Renee Richards) if she will travel down to London and fuck a bunch of guys who fancy coming into the industry and if she will do it for free.

Perhaps if you could point to the success of the format, show a case study, you might achieve a greater uptake. Unfortunatley, far too many "opportunities" like this - not just in Porn but in life in general, prove to be built upon empty and hollow promises. If you can show the gys that "it does work" - then you'd maybe have them beating down the door... but I've not seen you or any other producers give examples of the success fo the scheme.

The real truth of the matter is not in the amount it cost but the fact those wanting to participate and be given a chance had no confidence in their ability to do what they were given the opportunity to do.

Therefore the cancellation of the event was a success.

It meant 37 people couldnt be arsed to get tested and turn up to show they could do it. They let the three whodid make the effort down.

Why should the industry waste their time in giving these people a chance then?

U know i loved the idea terry and thought it had loads of scope so comiserations on the auditions but u have to face facts. The consumer doesnt need producers of the professional capacity anymore. They dont need proper studs anymore. They only need girls who will get there kit off and shag cos the "real" amatuer market has taken over and made the rest of the business redundant.

they are all too busy making and staring in there own porn to come and work for the likes of u or jim or jk.
