O/T PC Help needed

Hi I use my laptop for DVDs Now I bought two on thursday and they played fine.Tried them both Friday one was good the other did nothing.When I put it in it made strange knocking noises and nothing happened.Have I damaged it or is there something wrong with my laptop.Help would be appreaciated.

Clean the laser using necessary equipment, if that fails, check the drive or re-install your Win DVD software.
