Jigster: Unlike last year which I thought went pretty well, Jim and myself were going to make this a really fun event as well so that even if guys didnt do well they wouldnt feel too bad about it. Still it means we can still get support for the next time if it happens.

It's because.............. no one is prepared to pay the ?150 !!! not to say I told you so ! but ! ..... also there are some blokes that just get off by getting a reply and dont really go through with it !

Yer last was great, it didn't sway me at all!!! I actually enjoyed the day, I met some great people, and learn't from it, but I can understand why the set-up throw some guy's out of there stride, so to say, and it did affect some of the guy's which attended, also as you know, some felt hard done by! Last year was the REALITY CHECK approach, this year will be let's have some fun, and see what we come up with approach, and save the reality check for when you are out there in the field of action, I would say the reality check are constantly arising within the first few year's of working within this industry, each one you have to take on board, learn from it, and enjoy all you can, as often you can.

Local Lad...If no one is prepared to pay the ?150 fee then I seriously havent got time for them. Nor will any producers.

Why should I fork out hundreds for a girl on a day just to see if you can do it when i could forkout the same money and then get an established stud who I know will do the job even on a bad day.

You want in? You pay your way in like everybody else has done. ?150 is nothing compared to what some guys have paid and I could name one who paid over a grand over four shoots, flew in, got his tests and paid the girls their going rate (which was ?250 back in the day) that same guy has now been in the business for over 6 years now and made hundreds of thousands. (I wont name him because I think he wouldnt be happy about his name brought up in this thread)

Obviously people who dont want to pay are not confident in their own abilities, so why should I give them the time of day?

I dread to think what kind of guys we would get for a ?50 fee. Probably everyone at the local pub who catches wind that top name porn stars are auditioning guys probably. I couldnt think of anything more depressing and a complete waste of time as you know these guys would never take doing porn seriously as a career after they "bust- a -nut". ?150 tells me you ould be respectful of passing and most likely see it through which is what finding porn stars is all about.

You can always find somewhere to pay ?50 or even nothing but then you'll always be at square one trying to prove your abilities to the peolle that count for your employment. The producers.

I will say for the last time, this is THE only way in if you want to live it large big willy style and work for companies that will pay you well.

If you just want a bit of a larf and not worry about getting wood then stick to amateurs. This event is for people who want to be porn stars. Not grade c extras.

Let that be the last said on the matter of the fee. It is not going to be lowered. UKAP ran at a loss last year for not thinking this through as I suggested. I do not agree that producers should pay for it. I am merely responding to all the requests and have offered the opportunity. This is the result.

I'll be honest. its not that I never saw it coming. I just hoped it wouldve been like last year where out of 35 blokes 8 showed up.

Believe me, plenty producers are eager to see what results will come out this year but I guess we'll have to wait until September now.

You can always pay for a one on one but problem with that is, its not going to come to the attention of everyone like this event will.
