You will learn that there is no (direct) relationship between the 2.
You have to test things, you have to measure things.
Of course your sales are a measure. But how did you get those sales?
I've found that word of mouth is better. Of course you might find things different.
Don't think short term.Test. It's a bit like farming, you sow seeds and some may flower, the harvest might be good.
Of course I am not an expert.

I'm sure if anyone knew that they wouldnt tell here bro, Joe is modest I reckon...
His advice seems spot on in my experience though... study your stats and incoming links... forums are great for traffic but are you gonna get sales or just freebie hunters? and niches niche traffic converts well... thats all i know man...
Someone, a very experienced webmaster, told me that building a good readership or whatever you would call it is the best and posting regularly is the key to that... I obviously didnt listen though cos my blog is always behind and neglected! Lol! I get sales though!

Keni hit it on the head... people who know how to get good traffic rarely share the juice ! And it certainly aint ever free... if nothing else it takes a lot of time...
I think we need to organise a big dinner somewhere for networking purposes... maybe some of the big network guys can come down and pass on some of their experience... like Paul from Only Tease...

There are several ways to get a high level of traffic to your site. Affiliates are probably the best way but it costs you a % of each sale.
Also it depends on who signs up to your affiliate and promotes your site. You will need a good amount of promo material like images and videos and a good affiliate site where people can download the content, track sales etc etc. This is the really hard part if you run more than one site.
One of our friends turns over millions of $$ by just using affiliates.

Yes thats how we see it, but in reality when we make a $60 sale they get $30, but without them we would have made nothing so we all win..
