Both models and escorts work in the "Adult Entertainment" business. There are areas of difference and similarity between modelling and escorting.

My take on your burning question (and if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will put me right). is it right that some models look down on escorts (or vice versa)?

Models who only work in the photographic/video part of the "Adult Entertainment" business tend to only perform sex acts with other models (both of whom should be tested for STI's and HIV).
The problem tends to come with models who also escort and who are often viewed (rightly or wrongly) as putting their collegues at a highly increased risk of STI's because they also provide sexual services to "Joe Public" who tends not to have regular STI/HIV tests.
