I personally don't see too much difference between an escort and a porn model, with the exception of the camera. More and more nowadays, the two are not mutually exclusive, no matter how much people claim otherwise.

Porn and escorting, it's all about sex and money, in both cases.

I don't however agree that they are degrading themselves in any way. It's true in both cases they are using their bodies for payment, but what is wrong with that? The world would be a far more boring place without them!

Thats not true really, i only make my own movies because i enjoy what i do e.g. shagging whilst the camera's going. I'm not sure if i would enjoy working for a Pro company that takes i serious as we have great fun & treat it almost like swinging.
Saying this if someone was going to pay me the going rate for a film as long as its strictly non comercial i am happy to do it, most of the shoots we do are for couples & guys who want to do this but also want to keep it secret.
If saint Harmon has her way this year most of the escorts will turn to modeling anyway because of the loophole between models & escorts having sex for money so to speak.
We watched our rates go down when our Eastern Euro friends started to model but this will be nothing to what will happen when the escort/model world is merged together because of fucked up laws.

This is a very interesting debate, and something that the girls themselves don't always agree on.

Some models offer their services, on this forum, along the lines of "I work (boy/girl) with amateurs but don't do escorting of any kind." We also see newcomers post on here looking for a model, only to be told something along the lines of "go book yourself an escort, and if you're lucky she might let you film it!" There does seem to be a contradiction here.

If you do adopt the stance that the presence of a camera is the distinction, then fair enough, but is taking a dim view of escorting justified (as many who post on this forum clearly do)? As a consequence of this attitude, the subject of one of my commissions - an adult model who shall remain nameless - felt forced to hide her "day job" from the industry.

Given that this forum strictly prohibits girls from promoting escorting services, maybe the moderators can provide a definitive answer to this one, so we can put the debate to bed once and for all?!

Just two whop my cents into the debate, I see it like this...

An Escort performs sexual acts in return for money, IN PRIVATE, and when she goes home, its all finished... There is nothing to prove she ever performed the act, and due to the nature of being an escort, doesn't expect to here anything about it again...

A Model performs sexual acts in return for money, AND ALLOWS A RECORDING TO BE MADE OF THE ACT... and when she goes home the event will be made public, either as a DVD, online for free or just shared with friends.

Its irrelevant as to how widespread it goes, or how much money it generates. The point is A RECORD HAS BEEN MADE OF THE ACT...

To me, that's the real difference...

In general,

An escort is paid by the client, the purpose being the sexual gratification of the client.

A model is paid by the client to have sex with another model who is also being paid, the purpose being to produce a commercial product.

Obviously there are some crossover and grey areas in this.

I can see how two models, each being paid to have sex by a third party, falls into a different category.

But what if the client books the model and shoots himself having sex with her? Most will do this for the purpose of making it public; some produce such material for their own enjoyment, don't have a website, and don't make the material available to the public. Presumably, that's getting pretty close to an escorting situation?
